Hey

Like others, we are trying so hard to wait patiently for our NOA2. I (beneficiary) have gotten as much as I can together for once we get our NOA2

(evidence, forms, affidavit of support form, pay stubs, all that info, etc etc)

Based on people's timelines, it looks like once NOA2 comes, its another 2-4 months until the interview. Is that normal?

Or if we have everything ready, just need to do the 'recent' stuff (letter of intent, recent tax form, recent invoices etc) can we get the interview sooner? Or are they just booking that far ahead?

My interview will be in Vancouver, but i'm unsure of the schedualing for the interview.

Thanks!!

We hope its soon! We filed July 27, so are REALLY wanting it soon, like everyone else

:)

After the NOA2, it all depends on how fast you get paperwork back to the embassy and how quickly the embassy schedules interviews.

If you're in Vancouver, it'll be faster than Montreal. Once the embassy receives your case (after NOA2), they'll contact you about information they need and scheduling your interview. Like I said, Vancouver is faster than Montreal, so you could get your interview shortly after.

Back when I did mine, I got my NOA2 in January and didn't get an interview until May, even though I had all the paperwork complete. Montreal's just slow. You won't be waiting nearly that long though I'm unfamiliar with Vancouver's wait times. I believe it's less than a month, though.

Hopefully someone who has been through that consulate recently can chime in and let you know. :)

You can take a look at my info in my signature and see how fast it was. Once you get your NOA2, wait about a week and then call the NVC for your case number. They will forward your case pretty quick to the Vancouver consulate and that takes about another week. Then e-mail the Vancouver consulate to see if they have your case, if they do they'll e-mail you your packet 3, once that is checked off, you e-mail or fax it back and they'll e-mail you packet 4. It happened all very quick for me.

Vancouver is faster than Montreal so it's possible you'll get your interview shortly. Lucky you :) Good luck!
