Hi, please help me with this. what process do we need to undergo so i can get my baby. i gave birth to him last december 13,2010 in phils. i have not yet registered him in the us embassy in manila until now his father is a filipino and i am a usc. i now live in guam and i want to petition my baby, i read some article that i need to stay here in guam for 1 year before i can get my child. is that true? i am badly homesick and to wait for 1 year is just like hell but i also do want to bring my son here asap.

Your son is probably a US citizen if you are one, and you need to apply for a US passport for the child, you can do that here: http://manila.usembassy.gov/service/citizenship/first-time-report-of-birth-abroad7.html

If you meet all the requirements of CRBA, then you can file CRBA and US passport for him.
