198 days today for us patiently waiting our adjudication and something has happened that's got me/us scratching my head today.

I got a NOA from the USCIS CSC (Form I-979C, Notice of Action), B U T it doesn't mean anything. It's not an approval, it's not an RFE or (GOD forbid) a Denial. The Notice Type is: RECEIPT NOTICE - Amount Received $340.. U.S. (Notice Date: January 28, 2013)

That's it...

I called our Lawyer straight away and he said periodically the USCIS has a wee glitch and this is what this NOA appears to be... OR maybe they have "touched" our petition and someone inadvertently click an action button or something.

It was one for America's Funniest Home Videos when I saw it, prayed and then opened the letter only to see nothing has happened.

What do you all think? :wow:

LOL,

Sahs

If it is just NOA 1, it just means they accepted your paper work and payment and seems in order. Your in the wait for NOA 2 when its all processed and sent to NVC then to Manila. If your going crazy now wait and tell us how you feel after 5-6 months or more.

No offence, but did you check OP's timeline? this month it'll be 7 months of waiting for him.

OP, i suggest you call them and ask about it. And i really hope NOA2 comes soon for you!

I've been waiting for 199 days now, mate, or 6.5 months. Trust me, I know how it feels. I'm praying to hear something soon.
