Dont know about your country but on ocassions the immigration contacts the registration office for authenticy of docs

my cosin had 3 sons here, she petitioned them, 2 were sucessful one was not (reason: Embassy say they did registration

check & the kgn office showed her giving birth in Jamaica only twice.. a mistake)They continued to investigate until his dad got an

interview date, added him and they were satisfied its the daddy child  , so uscis do many checking we dont even know of

at times. Dude when u tell a lie, back it up with another lie your life becomes one big lie...You plan on continuing

this lie thru to citizenship....You better get an attorney un-ravel this mess and quickly because , they may ask for

certified copies of docs but rest a sure they can get it if they want....so think before you step in deep do doo

Also wondering... has your wife already sent the application? Because the divorce decree needs to be included in the petition to show that the new marriage is legal.

Why were you denied previously? Did they discover your fake marriage certificate? If you got denied previously for using fake paperwork and now sent MORE fakes you should start making preparations for your wife to come live with you in your country. I can't imagine they would forgive that even with the help of a lawyer. I don't know first-hand. I would just find it shocking if they did.

I don't think there is much advice anyone here can offer other than consulting a lawyer and making plans to probably have to move your wife to your country instead.

hello everyone,

I need your help, it's been 5 years I went to ask the tourist visa, but I lied about my marital status, I was forced to have a marriage certificate to facilitate obtaining this visa unfortunately I did not get the visa. Now, I am married with American, she must send the form i-130 for my residence. my question is that I must have a certificate of divorce? or is that after 5 years, imigration always has my information?

Okay I am really trying to understand this.

Now you do realize that USCIS or even the CO at embassy (if it gets that far) have been known to check your certificate with the registry. So how will you explain you have a copy but none is registered or filed.

I know of at least 3 couples on here when they went to interview they were denied because the beneficiary was registered as being married to someone else.

Now how do you think they found that out?

Do you really think immigration is that vapidly stupid they don't know fake from original.

You really need to check to see why you were really denied 5 years ago. Bet that fake certificate had something to do with.

Dear you are in a world of a mess that a lawyer I am sure will tell you the same. Good luck.

Plz keep us posted this will get interesting.

The embassy have seen thousand of authentic marriage certificates and divorce decrees so they are best in noticing the phony ones.

You are caught up in your own mess and you can try an immigration attorney for solutions. It will be hard to DIY and your USC wife could be entangled in all this and cause further problems.

May God Bless Us All In This New World. We All Have Come From Afar And We Need The Lord's Guidance For Success.

NB:I am not an Immigration Attorney, All i say here is based on my personal experiences through K-1 visa process and CR1/IR1 visa process.

Do not lie again. Ensure that your wife put the correct information on the I-130.

It is best to try to get forgiveness for the first lie than to continue living a lie. Dont take any further risk.

I want to know as to why you lied about being married in the first place? You said you were trying to get a tourist visa. What does that have anything to do with being married? Did you do this to show ties to your home country thus thinking it would ensure you getting the visa? Why not just be honest from now on? It's a shame you potentially ruined your chances of probably ever getting a visa. Good luck and get a lawyer.
