If someone could, please help me understand! I noticed on the processing table for USCIS the i-129f is still showing June 4 2012 as the last approval, when in fact there are August filers as late as Aug 20 being sent NOA2. I understand we need patience but this is our only hope of keeping up with them because if you call on the phone its a miracle to get an answer or a live person and then its a lame one. There are still June and July filers that are waiting. I realize every case is different but good grief cut us some slack here. There are ppl checking this site 5 plus times A DAY for goodness sake. I was just hoping someone might know why they take so long to update their web site...anybody???

My wife is already a citizen and our I-129f case still says "Initial Review"

The system is not accurate. Stop checking it and you will feel better. Any notice of anything which matters will arrive in the mail.

It is frustrating. Its practically February, you would think by now they could update the chart through the end of December instead of leaving it as current as of Nov 30, 2012. Especially since right above this it says the chart is updated on the 15th of the month

I prefer this link here on this site to track and guess timeframes. But it is nowhere accurate since we know that all petitioners are not coming to this site and setting up a timeline. Wish you the best and try to find something to do to keep yourself busy vice going to the websites multiple times throughout the day if it is frustrating you.

As you can see, VSC seems to have increased their production here lately.

All the best with you petition.

Ah... patience my dear friend - remember it is a virtue! :innocent:

Seriously though... our first step here took 7 months before I heard a peep. The best thing you can do for yourself is to try (note I said TRY) to keep focused on the end result. Also try to find things to help occupy your time so you don't keep checking the site 5 times a day, it will make you crazy! I was like that in the first months and it made me a complete wreck. Once I backed off and checked it only once a day (at least until they asked me to turn in a more legible copy of my birth certificate) I found it was a lot easier to deal with it all.

I wouldn't even begin to touch why or how the USCIS updates anything, sorry.

OK... two cents is all you get :P

*** Thread moved from K-1 Process forum to USCIS Service Centers forum -- topic involves processing times & updates. ***

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I don't know how virtuous I am but thank God I DON"T check it 5 times a day or I would surely pull my hair out! I was just thinking of the poor souls that do. But hey, thanks for the 2 cents, I really needed it and I feel so much richer now....hhhhhhdancin5hr.gif

Really Greg n Veronica and AngelinaGennaro are right, check the links they provided, as I do check those as well, it just seems the "official" link would be more reliable and accurate! It's supposed to be anyways. Thank God for the ppl here who do their best to bring some peace of mind. God bless you all.star_smile.gif
