Okay so im currently waiting for noa2 for the k1 visa and im the petitioner. Im terrified about being able to support my fiance. Please take time to read. Im a us citizen through.birth in the states but i have lived my whole life in Lebanon. I came to the states 3 months ago so.i have no credit.no tax returns no nothing. Im aware that i should be making a certain amount a year which i calculated and figured is = to 1600$ a month. Before the 31st of December i had only been working for 2 weeks and can't prove that Im making enough if i file my taxes now. Are my pay stubs let's say for a period of 6 months showing that im making 1600$ a month with a letter of employment enough to.prove i meet the requirements? And when the time comes for aos and i still don't have the tax returns document what do i do? I hope you are understanding what im trying to ask im so freaked out. :(

You should try to find a co-sponsor to be on the safe side, specially if you are close to the poverty line...

K1 doesn't require tax returns to be shown. (http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-134instr.pdf)

I am no expert about AOS or taxes (I am not a USC and far away from AOS!!)... But aren't you supposed to fill papers for taxes, regardless of where you live, when you are a US citizen? If so, can't you retroactively fill them and then use them for AOS?

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months
I am the benifeciary
