Did you send in one paystub? Nothing more?

Was that to show your income or the co-sponsors?

How much does the co-sponsor make?

For our embassy to accept a joint sponsor you need to send in the following: letter of current employment, w-2's for the past two years, tax transcripts or tax returns for the past two years, payroll stubs for at least 3-6 months. Proof of being a USC or LPR. They will not count child support, unemployment, stipends, or fellowships as income.

Must be talking about that I-864, US doesn't want your poor anymore, forget about that poem on the Statue of Liberty. Sure this post will be moved as this is the citizenship section. One nice thing about US citizenship, get rid of that I-864 liability.

Wife talked about bringing her mom here, but her response was, she was her only kid that came here, didn't want to leave the rest of her huge family. Maybe a good thing, we would never be able to pay for her health insurance where she is practically getting it for free in her home country. It wasn't that way here even 30 years ago, but sure is now. No place on earth has more expensive health insurance than we do.

Why is it this way?

**** Moving from US Citizenship to CR-1 spousal visa forum ****

Can you give us a timeline? How long was the joint sponsor unemployed, how long has he now been employed, at how much over the poverty line, and did he submit a letter from his employer saying he is in good standing and a permanent employee?

Overall though, if you can, submit a different, more settled co-sponsor.

two paystubs showing that your co-sponsor have the income isn't nearly enough. If the co-sponsor makes enough send in much more evidense and you should be golden. If not you need to look around for a new one!
