Hi friends... This might be my Last and really important note for all those who not yet done their interview.. I went to embassy at 7:00 AM. did my thumping. Paid the fees Rs.23520.00. and last and final step. was my interview. I selected interview in Urdu. The first question was

1) Your petitioner is US birth citizen, from where she learnt Urdu.?

2) How you met?

3) How people can meet on facebook?

4) what was response from ur family?

5) Did u face any court or jail?

I answered all well. But what was, they already wrote on my case that my petition was expired. he just showed me the red stamp. which he already did b4 my interview. and I need to refile my petition .

Poor I, and Bad Luck. But Good experience for others i guess.

God approve all AP, pending Visa.

The embassy can extend your petition while you are in the interview process.

All petitions have an expiration date. It is noted on your NOA2, however, there is a extension policy that the embassy does on their own while you are in the interview process to extend the time because some consulates take longer to adjudicate petitions than others.

what are you talking about????? He wasn't denied because they met online or on facebook, they told him his petition expired. There are hundreds and thousands of people who meet their significant others online every day and are granted visas, it is NOT forbidden. I met my husband online and he is safely here in the US, in fact it wasn't an issue whatsoever that we met online. Please don't jump to conclusions and scare others who have met online going through the visa process. The OP clearly stated the CO denied him because there was an issue with the date on the petition headbonk.gif

Wait... the embassy can't grant petition extensions?? That makes no sense. Plenty of embassies take their sweet ### time scheduling interviews and doing administrative processing. Yemen it takes 1 YEAR from NVC to visa approval! What a joke...

i think the IV unit played their hidden card.

For whatever reason, they WANTED to deny the visa application, based on what was in the petition (I-129F) and the visa application paperwork.

Why? I dunno..

but ..

the sneaky bit, was to NOT extend the validity of the petition. To the best of my knowledge, extending the validity is common but it is at the Vice-Consul's discretion, each and every time.

So, someone decided NOT to extend that validity, thus quashing the rest of the visa application process.

Rather sneaky, I think so.

You can certainly try again, with yer USCitizen Fiance filing ANOTHER I-129F. No need to wait, unless it's been 2 years or more since you saw yer fiance last, face to face. If still under 2 years, that last face-to-face meeting, can file on Monday, prepping all this weekend.

I will not try to refile it again. but i will wait for NOID. (Notice of Intent to Deny) they may claim something in this. I already submitted My Paper work. Giving the Date of Interview was their intention. SO they intentionally gave me the date of Interview very late. It mean they let my Petition to be expire. and said your interview is fine. but your petition is expired. nice joke from their side.

When the petition expires in this fashion, there is no notice of intent to deny or revoke -

the IV Unit simply allowed the petition to expire past it's duration of validity dates.

Sorry, I wish I had other news for you.
