I sent our I-129F to USCIS via UPS. Today the tracking says "Not ready for pickup on the 1st attempt. A 2nd pickup attempt will be made."

I sent it to:

USCIS

Attn: I-129F

2501 South StateHighway 121 Business

Suite 400

Lewisville, TX75067

I also made sure that address was printed on both the front and back of the shipping box.

Did I do something wrong? Should I be concerned?

How can it be "Not ready for pickup on the 1st attempt"? I thought this was being delivered to a mail room for USCIS.

LOL, it was almost $80 from AZ to TX. I paid for next day air delivery before 10:30 am. (It seemed like a good idea at the time.)

Our I-129F was almost 6lbs total with packing. We put everything but the kitchen sink in it, far more proof than what’s probably needed but we shouldn’t get a RFE this way.

6 lbs? That is going to sit on display for a long time before somebody decides to tackle it!

Lol, it took us around 80$ from Romania to Lewisville with FedEx and we left it at the fedex office on the 25th in the evening and on the 27th was delivered. Dont worry, it'll get there:)

I think ours was 10.

Ya, we expect it was overkill. 381 pages divided into 45 cataloged tabs complete with table of contents.

This is what happens when you get 2 people who are both nerds, a little OCD, and slightly neurotic, and then put them into a bureaucratic process that keeps them apart.

Ok, it was delivered now. Apparently UPS just thought it would be fun to see us squirm.

I wonder how long after delivery it will take to receive the text/email notice from the G-1145.

There has to be somebody there that can accept delivery. They will make three attempts.

This ^^

Someone has to be available to sign for it if you send it the method you did. Extra cost and potential extra time. If you are sending future documents I personally would use a method that does not require being signed for.

You should receive your notification (NOA1) within 1-2 weeks. Most get it within a few days.
