I thought citizen process was 2 years... Being from UA, did you have difficulty sending through Fedex or UPS... quickly? He is in Shostka... What was your time frame on that part... Seriously I get so stressed trying to do all of this, and plan a wedding.. i mean how is anyone supposed to plan a wedding not knowing how long the process can take for the other person to get here?

They are eligible for citizenship 3 years after becoming a permanent resident. Add 3-4 months just to get the green card and 3-4 months to process the citizenship and you are right at 4 years to become a citizen. Alla arrived in September 2008 and became a citizen in April 2012 and we did nto delay on anything and got her green card less than 4 months after she arrived. I never had a dificulty sending anything via Fedex or UPS to Ukraine or Russia.

Do not plan a wedding. There i sno possible way to do it. You MUSt get married within 90 days of their arrival but you have no idea when they will arrive and anything can delay the process at any stage. Wait until the visa is in your hand then start wedding plans. Get married at the courthouse of by a JP to satisfy the obligation of the visa. Plan a more formal ceremony later.

I was reading this post and had this EXACT question of whether to have all original signatures in Black or Blue ink pen. I thought Blue just in case it gets confused with a photo copy. Thanks

Brad

The instructions say to use BLACK ink (black ink copies better) but I used BLUE ink for signatures just for the reason to show they were original. I never had any problem
