Hello guys I posted before about my situation... Currently my wife and I got married Jan 4th ready to start the CR1 visa process. She used to work here as an Apeur and she obtained a social security number. On her second year when she finished her term she went back to brazil and applied for a tourist visa which she got approved, but in that application when asked for a social security she left blank didnt provide one and she still got approved. Now on the cr1 I130 form we are asked again if she used a SS before or worked in the USA before she did! But she can't find her social, she no longer lives here I can try to contact the social security office to try to find her SS. My question..should we answer the question as NA? Doesn't apply? I believe she DIDMT have time to do taxes her last year, will this cause any issues in the future? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

It states birth certificate is needed as well for 3 passport photos? I read in the other page birth certificate is no longer needed n just 2 passport photos are required, can someone confirm.

While not currently in the instructions as needed, several people are seeing RFEs requesting the benficiary BC.

Best to just provide a copy of it and avoid the possibility of an RFE.

You wouldn't answer this question as N/A. It does apply to your wife and you can't truthfully answer "none" because she does have one.

Right so I would need to contact social security office and try to get her social number....will it make a difference is she answered no when she applied for her tourist visa?

To be honest I don't know. She would probably need to be the one contacting the social security office due to privacy issues.

Hello friends, my wife lost her social security card, she used to work here for 2 years and thus she got a temp social. She went back to her country and got approved for the tourist Visa and left the social security question on that form blank/NA. I am thinking of doing the same thing as it didnt seem to matter. Any suggestions?

You don't have to list SSN on your immigration forms, but if she remembers her number I would provide it. If not, leave it blank.

Thanks I was gonna go with that. Now if u dont mind me asking, my wife didnt change her last name (too much paper work to change passport, etc) we both agreed is better to avoid headaches. I have 2 last names, and she also has 2 last names, in the FIRST question where it says FAMILY NAME, we write down BOTH LAST NAMES in CAPS correct??

I don't really have an experience with multiple last names. Maybe members from Latino community will answer this one.
