Packet 3 Faded

Hi! My fiance and I received our NOA 2 in December and he just got his Packet 3 in the mail last week. We looked through it and found that it was very faded in some parts which has made it difficult to read (thanks for changing your printer toner cartridges regularly, U.S. embassy, it's not as if it's important information or anything....). I hope anyone can help deciphering it. We had the most trouble with the section in the packet that starts on the first page after the cover letter that deals with evidence of support.

It begins: "Evidence of support: evidence that will show that you and your children, if any, are not likely to become public charges in the united states. the enclosed information sheet which may be" and then it moves to the top of the second page and it's so faded as to almost be white and is not legible at all. Can anyone help me figure out what the rest of that section says? I already know that as the U.S. citizen I have to fill out the affidavit of support and send it with all other necessary financial forms (tax returns, pay stubs) to my fiance so that he can bring it with him to the U.S. embassy when he goes for the interview, but am I missing any other information about that because that section of the packet is faded? Thanks a lot!

This should be helpful:

He needs to send back to the embassy notice of readiness (can be downloaded from the London's embassy as any notice will do, that's in case the one they sent you is faded too). Also he needs to send DS 230 part I. He needs to send both forms as soon as he is ready , collected all the paper work and had his medical done.Do not send it earlier as they might schedule him an interview before he has his medical results ready. Unless you want him to bring them to the embassy later after his interview , I think it's possible too...

On the actual interview he needs:

New Intent to Marry (his and yours)

Birth Cert

Police cert

I - 134, Letter from employer, Pay stubs (all supplied by you, USC)

DS156 x 2

Passport Photo x 2

DS 156K

His passport

His medical

Self addressed envelope with a stamp for €12.5 (it might have changed though)

Any photos of you together

Chats

Phone records etc (usually not required but better to have it than to be sorry)

Echo - go to the IV section of the US Embassy / Dublin website, download all of the Packet 3 stuff from there.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Thanks very much, everyone! I'm starting to see other people here on VJ having the same complaints about Packet 3 being faded to the point of being unable to be read clearly so hopefully the embassy does something to address that soon before even more people have to worry about it. I've now checked the U.S. embassy website as well as the link sent by sabi so now I know that the faded part I was posting about is just asking for my I-134 paperwork. And sabi, thank you so very much for breaking it down like that. We were ready for most of that stuff from surfing around on VJ for months, but it makes it a little less intimidating to see it stated so simple and clear like you did. Cheers! :)

No worries! I know how it's like... A few months ago I was exactly where you are now and there was no one to advise or help in regards with our Dublin embassy so I am trying to help Irish folks as much as I can :)

Good luck and if you have any questions just give me a shout!
