Hey, I submitted my i-129f package on the eve of new years, and within afew days i received an email& mail:

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS Vermont Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number EAC#######. With the official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) you may visit www.uscis.gov where you can check the status of your case using My Case Status. We suggest you wait until you have received your Form I-797 before checking My Case Status.

This confirmation provides notification of the date USCIS received your case. This notice does NOT grant any immigration status or benefit. You MAY NOT present this notice as evidence that you have been granted any immigration status or benefit. Further, this notice does NOT constitute evidence that your case remains pending with USCIS. The current status of your case must be verified with USCIS.

PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE

I checked my case status on the website. It's at Initial Review

What should I be doing now? and what's the est wait time to receive an update.

Also I am only 18y/o but I am eligible to marry in Texas. I have college hours from when I attended a university in Philippines, ~3/4 of a semester.I currently work as a temp at a pharmaceutical company with 2 18month terms, so ill be expected to work there 36 months max within that time ill find another job or apply for that company as a permanent. I get paid hourly at 8.75 i make overtime everyweek aswell.

My fiancee is unemployed until she can come here. She has 2 kids and lives with her family. We're not bringing her kids because her parents dont know how i'd be as a stepdad, so not until they're of age. Though i've heard it's alot harder when they're older.

Im worried about afew things mostly my age and pay, My parents agreed to help sponsor as well. thanks.

Kaibigan...you can sit back and chill until the USCIS approves your I-129F petition.

Some things you might want to think about while you're chilling:

> At your income level, you are going to need a joint sponsor. The U.S. Embassy Manila doesn't always accept joint sponsors for K-1 cases. Knowing that, you need a good game plan for a visa approval.

> In my opinion, you really need to attend your fiancée's interview. You should have one of your parents as your joint sponsor. Also, at the interview, you should highlight your education and upward mobility.

> Hopefully, you are Pinoy. I believe the U.S. Embassy Manila is more likely to approve a K-1 visa for a Pinoy petitioner because they know that your parents will support you and your fiancée because it's the Pinoy way.

> At the interview, you and your fiancée might want to submit an I-864 from your joint sponsor instead of an I-134. An I-864 is more legally binding and will carry more weight with the consular officer.

> How old is your fiancée? She needs to be at least 18 years old to get a CFO sticker...which she will need to board a flight to the U.S.

> You might want to think about getting a part-time job in addition to your regular job. If you did so, and made enough income, you wouldn't need a joint sponsor.

One thing you can do is change your profile/timeline to the Vermont Service Center. That will give you a better estimate of when your I-129F petition may be approved. The Texas Service Center you have listed now does not even process I-129F petitions.
