I thought I read somewhere, possibly on the US Embassy website for Stockholm but I am unable to find the information again, that the petitioner cannot attend nor with they be permitted to enter the embassy on the day of the interview. The interview will be for an i130 visa.

Can I attend the interview with my wife at the US Embassy in Stockholm?

According to the embassy info page, it says you cannot. A few embassy's allow but looks like Sweden does not.Click on the embassy link above and then look on the Embassy info page.

Good Luck!

Yes both can hang out at the embassy, no problem. If you go look under regional discussions, in the Scandinavian thread you can read more about it. It was talked about just the other week...

will be for an i130 visa.

An I-130 is not a visa, it's a petition form. The visa that will be interviewed for is a CR-1.

I'm pretty sure we all get the point he was making.

Some people are new to immigration. So, it is good to be precise.

While you many get the point, not everyone will. Lots of people on this board refer to their I-130 visa application - which is incorrect.
