M quite confused as about the household size. My fiance earns almost $30,000 annually. He currently lives with his younger sister, mom and his step dad. Should he literally include everybody or just the one he supports?

He needs to include all of those that he supports financially (stated in the tax return) plus himself and you, the foreign fiancee.

Household size depends on who depends on him for support, and who he claims on his taxes as dependents. If he claims only him self on ho his taxes then he will only count two on his Affidavit of Support him and the beneficiary that he is sponsoring.

I live in the same house as my parents, but they don't depend on my income for support, and so I will claim 2 on my I-134, and I-864 just me and my fiance, my parents don't factor in that calculation.

my fiance got 31k as his annual income in 2004...and he's living alone.would that be ok?

..good thing ive read this cos i really dnt know about this "poverty line" thing
