To add, YES,I had notarized statements from my best friend, sister, my spouse himself. The only one I didn't get notarized was the statement from MYSELF. I signed and dated it. My rationale was that they should believe me because I am the petitioner. :D

So you had your friends and family write letters for you?I thought of that but was not sure. I guess I could do it for the interview?

Thank you so much for all of your fast replies, it is comforting to see how responsive you guys are :) I can see im in safe hands!!

He also suggested getting statements from family and friends about our relationship. Do you guys have any opinions on this? If you do include them should they be officially notarized, or just signed and dated??

Thanks again!

Statements of your relationship are not really necessary. Maybe you could use those for Adjustment of Status, which will come after you are married. Good luck to you!

evidenciary suggestions are different, K-1 vs CR-1 visa.

For example, there's a poster here who stated he included 3 years of tax returns with the I-130. If he was married to his lass all those years, well that makes sense as it's part of the evidenciary fodder for a bonafide marriage - what married couple DOES NOT FILE tax returns, aye? It's not proof of support, at all, as that is gathered up during NVC, but it IS useful to show bonafide marriage fodder during the I-130 adjudication phase. His question if I could support my spouse. doesn't arise during the I-130 adjudication phase - it's gathered up at NVC and evaluated at the IV Unit. So, extra work, IMO, for a condition that did not exist during that phase of the adjudication.

For a K-1 visa chaser, submitting tax returns in with the I-129F does nothing.

I'll guess your attorney is lazy - he wants everything in his hands before he even files your paperwork. FWIW, tax stuff is collected on Interview Day, 9 months later after filing. Remind him of that, ask his opinion, aye?

Your support and tax info will be outdated by the time its reviewed. You have just submitted your petition. This means your info will be at least 6 months old or more by the time it gets to NVC. Dont be suprised when you recieve an RFE to correct it. You are dealing with one of the most difficult embassies so it would be a good idea to follow the procedures exactly to avoid problems. Find the flow chart here on VJ to see when these docs are required in the process. You will see that the 864 is submitted to NVC not USCIS.

Prepare yourself for the inherent problems associated with Morroco. Most cases there are sent into the blackhole of AP. Do the best you can to understand and follow the procedures for the best outcome.

Thanks for your advice...I didn't know about VJ when I first filed so I included it because someone told me one of immigration's biggest concern was whether or not one can afford the support (which I am). So I just googled the process and the 864 form came up.

I don't expect my financials to be any different in 6 months. I'll definitely include all of the tax info again when it's the NVC stage and also I'll be including the new year's taxes file because I'm going to file as soon as I get my W2 form.

Thanks to VJ & members' postings, I have more knowledge of the process now. INSHALLAH...I don't feel there should be problems dealing with the Morocco Embassy because our love is true. (L)

I got this clarification when I called the USCIS customer service to ask them questions on what it meant to include in my I130 application to show we are in an ongoing relationship. The helpful customer service lady was the one who explained it better because I didn't understand what statement they wanted and it is one of the options on the I130 application. I think a great thing to do is to call up the customer service number and ask questions and for help if you are unsure. It's a pain for the long wait but the phone call is toll free so why not?

I'm sure you could still do that for the interview. Best wishes!

What you have done isnt really terrible over all as long as you understand as you do now you will likely have to do over and that it dodnt save you any time.

Even though your income ect wont change as you say the dates on the forms would be best if they are closer to the events they are required for.

Obtain tax transcripts from the IRS when you are ready. They are free and can be had by mail, fax or in person from your local office. Three years are best.

True love isnt enough to ignore the workings of the embassy in Morroco I am afraid to say. You are better off than many simply becuase you are married already but even that doesnt make it easy when it comes to dealing with Morroco. You should succeed in the end but it can be a difficult process for some.

what does your lawyer say about gathering up tax data before he submits into USCIS?

He just told me that he wanted to send Last years tax return with the I129F, but from what I gather here, and if someone will back me up, it is not necesary until you file the I134.

Correct. And considering you've yet to file the petition, you'll need the Tax Year 2012 tax return transcript by the time the I-134 is needed.

Interview: October 24, 2012 - Review | Visa Delivered: October 31, 2012

Part Two: Entry and Adjusting Status:

POE: November 18, 2012 (at SFO) - Review

AOS Package (I-485/I-765/I-131) NOA1: February 19, 2013 | Biometrics Appt.: March 18, 2013
AP/EAD Approved: April 29, 2013 | Card Received: May 6, 2013 | AOS Interview Appt.: May 16, 2013 - Approved Review Card Received: May 24, 2013

The answer to this was given in the first few responces to your original question. Check into the P 3 submission process and you will see that all that is needed is to follow the designed process.

It is OK for your possible Lawyer to ask about finances. but, not required for your Petition. I don't blame the Attorney for asking. It will come-up later but not now.

I'd tend to agree that the lawyer was just being pre-emptive.....there seems to be many couples around lately that barely meet the financial requirements (which are very low to begin with.....thus one would think that these couples should wait on any immigration plans.....it can be a very big overall expense).

No you do not need to submit any financial info with the 129f petition; it's for the interview.
