Hello Everyone

At first, Merry Christmas to everyone! May all couples be blessed and united with their love ones soon!

There are few but complicated questions regarding my K1 visa, Any help would be highly appreciated.

I am a Pakistani Citizen and have been working in Kabul for the past 03 years, there are few questions related to it:

1) In form G-325A, where applicants 05 years residency is required, I have placed my addresses in Afghanistan for the past 03 years, I hope I did the correct thing.

2) Now as the process moves forward, I got to know, I have present police report of country lived more than 90 days, shall I get a police report from Afghanistan? Since I live in base, will a police report mandatory? It might take forever if I file for a police report in Afghanistan.

3) I technically live in a base; shall I get a police report from the base as well??

4) The most important question is, we travel back and forth to our home of country by military airlines, where Afghanistan visa is not required, now I wonder, if they check my passport and ask me about my Afghanistan visa, will it be an issue?

You do amazing job in assisting new members like us. Thank you so much!!

Please fill in your timeline, it will make it easier for us to advise you.

1. Yes, you did the right thing

2. It's more than 6 months/ a year, not 90 days but yes, you would normally need a police report. However, police reports from Afghanistan are listed as Unavailable: http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=8938 so you won't need one for that country. You will need one from Pakistan and any other country you've lived in.

3. No, USCIS does their own background checks.

4. You should be fine- as you worked for the US government, they know how that works.

Thank you for the replies. So in short i dont have to present Afghan police report, Correct? but i am thinking to get a recommendation letter from the company that shall confirm i work with US company, it might help in queries like entry in country without afghan visa.

DO you recommend me to get anything from the company that shall assist my K1 visa case?
