Oh yes for Lagos consulate its HIGHLY NECESSARY..... Please let her send in more evidence in the NVC stage to avoid any denial based on insufficient evidence to proof relationship. Everyone going through Lagos is advisable to do so.

I've asked in the past the same question, And I was told is a personal optional but it's NOT necessary. I believe this is a personal option if you wish to do this. Good Luck on whatever you decide on doing!

One things NVC doesn't ask for evidence. The reason why so many of us send more evidence with our DS-230 is to get it added to our casefile.

If you front-loaded your packet when you sent in I-130 should be okay. I front-loaded but its been 8 months and I have more to add. 900 pages worth.

Also it all is abt was there trips between filing and now. Do you have red flags. It sure doesn't hurt to send more and you have no guarantee anything you bring to interview will be looked at.

living together? got a lease or a house deed in both names?

utility bills in both names?

any receipts in both names?

photos of the two of you in yer happily married life?

look, the instructions in the I-130 list 6 types of evidence.

What can you generate, based on the 6 types of evidence listed in the I-130 instructions?

--

also- remember, adjudication guidelines are different at different IV units. What works for London doesn't work for Lagos - as Lagos is a high fraud IV Unit.

Whats the word on Serbia IV for fraud? Answer that, and we might have more info for you ;)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

We got:

- the lease with both of our names on it(already sent with I130)

-joint bank acc statement (already sent with I130)

-as for photos we do have them, mostly with our little one on it (how many of them to send?)Some photos of just the 2 of us are sent with the I130

-as for utility bills and receipts that doesn't work here to much.Since we are renting a place, all the bills are in our landlords name so really there is no way to prove that we are paying them. all the receits for purchases or such things are just in my spouses name (our mobile phones, etc)

As for fraud I really can't tell. There are not so many IV cases from here.I know for a case that got approved in september and they got approved without any ridicilous questions(how did you meet, when did you got married etc.)

You should really post this in the forum that pertains to Nigeria. Lagos is a very difficult embassy. It is considered a high fraud area and so they are more suspicious of couples whether the relationship is BONA-FIDE or not. So even though technically it is not necessary, people who have had actual experience with the Lagos embassy are the ones to listen to. You need to provide as much evidence as you can supporting the fact that you two have a genuine and ongoing relationship. That's why front loading is so important. Go to the Nigeria portal and consulate reviews... read...learn... take the advice of others and their experiences with this specific embassy.
