omg another lawyer delay

Just today I got an email from the NVC regarding the 2 passport-style photos of my hubby:

"The photos must have the name of the person in the photo printed on the back, along with the case

number associated with the person's photo."

OMG the lawyer didn't do that I called the office but it was 2 minutes before closing time. I think I gave her something like 5 photos. I'm hoping she can grab 2 from the file and FIX IT without me asking hubby to send more

Update---lawyer swears she wrote hubby's name and case # on the backs of the pics. No more pics on file, so gotta get new ones. She said try getting a digital pic and send by email and I can get it printed.

Thank you! Last night hubby emailed me a digital passport picture, so I put it on a USB drive and took it to be printed. The 2 copies are already delivered to the lawyer, so not too much of a delay. At least the NVC didn't ask for more serious stuff!!

lawyers are insensitive. unlike petitioner and applicants ,lawyers only care about money. While we check our documents 50 times, lawyers just wanna complete and ship the documents asap so they could take up another case and make more money. this is why most people dont hire lawyers.

We also got the same message when my hubby and kids went through with their F2B petition.

Lawyer didn't advice and there was also no instruction to do so from NVC when they ask that we submit the DS-230 and other civil documents.

It's just a minor detail and delay. Don't panic and just get it done. You'll be case complete in no time.

I once asked an attorney a simple question about the whole progress and the lawyer seemed not to be up-to-date with current happenings, even the he's an immigration attorney... It's double trouble if you hire the wrong attorney to do the stuff for ya... Simple adherent to rules will eliminate the use of the attorney to a very large extent, my two cent$

They say hindsight it 100% and that's so true. She sold herself to me as getting approvals in 6 months, said hubby would probably have his interview in June 2012 thank goodness she didn't charge a lot, but I could have bought myself a round-trip ticket with what I paid her. She is listed as an immigration lawyer...you'd think she would have updated her knowledge of the system by now if she's processing cases. We have LOTS of immigrants in this area. Honestly when hubby and I started out on this journey we were both intimidated by the process.
