fiance letter of intent

Hi all,

I am about to file my petition but I am confused as to what address to use on the letters of intent and cover letter. i am aware that the package must be sent to the lockbox in Texas, but on VJ O followed instructions on how to find the service center's info for my location, which happens to be Vermont. So, which one do i address the letters to?

Have you filed the petition yet? If you did and did not send the letter of intent you will probably get a request for evidence (RFE) and at that time you can send it. I would wait for them to contact you.

If you have not sent the petition yet then send it all together to the Texas Lockbox.

If you are asking to whom you write the letter to and the address you put on it as part of the form letter you can use either one. It really doesn't matter.

Use the lockbox address. There is no guarantee your petition will ultimately end up in Vermont as it is lockbox personnel that decides where the petition will be routed to.

Either address will do....the address is immaterial to the content of the letter. It must also have an original signature.

I do not agree that you will receive an RFE for not sending a leter of intent-- I have read somewhere here at the VJ rfe DISCUSSION THAT THEY ARGUE ABT IT --

Agreed, the content is what is the most important.

Whatever point you are trying to make here is irrelevant. A signed letter of intent by both the petitioner and beneficiary to marry each other within 90 days of entry to the US on a K1 visa by the beneficiary is a required submission item per the I-129F instructions. Failure to follow the instructions could result in an RFE or outright denial of a petition.

I haven't file the petition yet. My fiance and I used the VT address on the letters and he already sent it to me. I guess since the address is irrelevant and the content is important, i will just send it the way it is to Texas.
