Hello,

We just received the approved NOA2, but unfortunately, we couldn't find original NOA1 now, that hard paper. Usually do I need to bring the original NOA1 to the interview?

If we really lost NOA1, what should we do to make up? What's the consequence? My K-visa will be rejected?

Pls help me, I feel horrible.

Do you know your receipt number? That is one important piece of information on the I-797C Receipt of Petition (NOA1). You may need to use that number to get information from USCIS, until your approved petition is forwarded to the NVC.

It is advisable to take better care of your I-797 Petition Acceptance Notice (NOA2). A copy of the NOA2 is necessary later on in the immigration process. Some folks have been able to do a work-around. However, USCIS can charge you around $400 to get a duplicate I-797 NOA2.

Good luck on your visa journey.

The receipt notice is not needed for anything.

The NOA-2 IS NEEDED for later Adjustment of Status, and does contain the receipt #.

Don't sweat it, relax, get busy burning some joss, as you've one less thing to worry about.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

It's really just a receipt of payment. Don't worry about it. You won't need it.

The NOA2 you DO need (at least a copy of it). I suggest that you scan a copy of it and email it to both of you, that way you will never lose it.
