Our interview was on Thursday - and we were approved! (Wanted to post this sooner, but my fiance just left to go home this morning, and I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible!)

I *definitely* could not have done this without VJ. I felt like I was so well-prepared, knowing exactly where to go (especially thanks to Saylin's thread with the MS-Paint maps!) - so thank you to everyone who contributes to this site and makes it a lot easier!

I posted my review (which is almost more like a story) here: http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/view-dos-cis-reviews.php?entry=11043

Now hopefully I'll get my passport back ASAP, so I can POE on Dec. 20!

Thank you! :)

Anyone know how I find out if my passport has been sent back yet? Everything she said to me after "you're approved!" is a blank right now LOL.

Congrats!

Dunno if things have changed since my interview, but the CSC website would (unreliably) post waybill numbers. DHL also e-mailed me with updates and eventually gave me a phone call when my visa was ready for pick up.

Congrats!

They do send out an email saying they shipped the passport back, but as we found out when randomly stopping by the Loomis office after 2 weeks, that they had it there already and we got the shipment email the next day. We had no idea how long it had been sitting there.

Did you find some good poutine?

Awesome, thanks! I will check the CSC site, and call DHL starting next week.

Oh man... okay, I will be proactive about calling, starting on Monday. Thanks!

I did find some good poutine! A friend of mine lives in Montreal (he's going to McGill), so we were going to go to La Belle Province (which someone told me was the best place for poutine the last time I was there), but he said no way, and he took us to Frites Alors instead :) It was delicious! I got one that had red pepper, mushrooms, onions, and bacon... mmmm :D
