They have recently moved to different location and they should be back servicing the public sometime this week. Apparently the new address is Anillo Periférico, Residencial La Cañada, near UTH the university. A taxi driver should know how to get there. I have no idea how long it takes or how much does it cost but my fiancee will go there this week and once we find out I will let you know.

Has anyone else heard this (change of address)? It seems to me that the new address you are talking about would be the old immigration building...

The embassy website still says this:

For those applicants requesting their police certificate (Constancia de Antecedentes Policiales) in Honduras they should contact the:

Dirección Nacional de Investigación Criminal (DNIC)

Barrio Villadela

5ta. Ave. antiguo Edificio de Metroplan

1 cuadra al Norte del Estado Mayor

Comayaguela, M.D.C.

Office hours: Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Tel. (504) 2225-3595

Please Note: The validity of the Police Certificate is for six months only and it is only accepted from Comayaguela.

I know this is an old post, but has anyone had any recent experience with getting a police certificate in Honduras? My wife is in Comayagua. Will she need to go to Tegus to get this certificate? Is it absolutely required? From the instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Supporting_documents.html it seems like it is, but it's the first I've heard of it.
