My Dear VJ Friends,

I have very important questions for you before I begin the application process. Do they accept the 130 form for the K1 fiance visa affidavit of support in Accra Ghana? I want to make certain before we begin the application process. I am the petitioner who live in Connecticut USA and my significant other lives in Ghana. I heard if they don't accept the form, I will be wasting my time and I want to prevent this from happening.

Thanks

What is important is that you read the "guides" at the top of the home page here on V J. You are very confused right now. For example the 130 is not the support form.

The support form is filed much later and is part of the " packet 3 " which is requested by the embassy prior to the interview. For a K 1 you will use the 134 as the support form.

if your single and want to get married to your fiance or fiancee then you file 1-129f k-1 visa only if approval and you come to the united states you must get married within 90 days of arrive,---if your married or family member wants to come to the united states then you file 1-130,

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I'm going to be filing for the K1 fiance visa using three 129F form.

That's what I asked bur you didn't reply! Either way, I do not know the answer to your question, but I think you might have better luck asking in the Ghana sub-forum.

I hope you get your answer.

Please, I really will like to know if the consul officer will accept the I-134 affidavit of support form in Ghana from the petitioner and a co-sponsor? I want to know this before we begin filing for the I-129F K-1 visa. Any help will be appreciated.

Yes- they use the I-134 for in Accra. We used it and I had a co-sponsor and they filled out the same form with no problems. Make sure you get tax transcripts and not just copies of your fillings/w-2s

ok sorry for the multiple post. thanks

Yes- and please you have posted this same question on 3 different days that many of us have answered- before reposting check to see if the answer is there-

Everything in Ghana is the same as the guides and timelines except you usually have to email them to get your packet 3 pickup once you have your NVC number. But you have a while before you have to worry about that.

My only major advice to you for Accra- make sure you have a ton of evidence over a period of time, not just recent, and since you havent applied start working on that now and continue until the interview.

Also use the tax transcript for u and your co-sponsors I-134

(1-800-908-9946) to order these free documents. You will need to get teh 2012 once available since u havent filled and you will have plenty of time to get them.

Thanks everyone!

Have you met the first requirement by meeting in person within the last two years?

It seems what you really want is someone to do the case work for you. The guides for example have a flow chart indicating exactly what is done. Follow that example. You will see that as I said before you can file the initial petition right now because the 134 is sent as part of the P 3 which is requested by the embassy months from now just prior to the interview.

If the embassy in Ghana would not accept the 134 form for a K 1 case what would they do in these cases? There are procedures to understand and follow to do what you want. Use them.
