Well they sent the notice that I, the USC, had changed address to the US address they insisted I use. The only way we found out that they had changed my husband's address to a US one was the congressional inquiry. :thumbs:

Should I just wait and see what happens then?! Now I"m getting more stressed which I just didn't think is possible

I check at least 3 times a day! I am almost at 40 days and I have seen people approved at 40, 49, 59 days so I keep hoping I will get lucky too.. I know the chances are slim but I pray for under 3 m

This is what I did,

I did not take a copy of my NOA1, as I didn't have it, I took the following to show ties with canada

1. Current Phone, internet, Cable bill copies

2. Copy of my employment letters

3. Copies of my last 6 months pay stubs

4. Copies of my apartment lease in Canada

5. Copies of my Car leases and agreement

6. Copies of my current credit card bills

At the border, I wasn't asked any specific question and i told I am going to see my family friends, which i actually was. He did not ask anything about my i130 process and neither did I mention. he checked my passport and let me in.

However, i was always prepared for secondary investigations and you shold be too as I did not lie.

I'm going to the US today for the first time since applying for the i130. I'm taking copies of all the documents you suggested, so I hope I will be able to breeze through customs as well! Wish me luck :)

Got our NOA1 from the NBC on Dec 19th...this waiting game is horrible. I just hope it doenst end up taking 6 months or more...not sure either one of us would deal very well with that.

I think we all feel that way. My husband goes from being prepared for a 12 month wait to stressing why there is no change. I have to remind him its only been 51 days and we have a long wait still.

12/4/2012 - NOA1 NBC (Missouri Service Center MSC) 5/22/15: Date on NOA1

SO irritated to see our estimated adjudication date go from "between February 23, 2013 and March 5, 2013" to between March 14, 2013 and April 1, 2013.

My bday is on March 1, was hoping to hear from USCIS close to my bday..but maybe not anymore :bonk:

I understand completely .... I have been watching my estimated date creep back further and further and I am now estimated at the same time that you are. *sigh* Waiting is so damn hard!

Don't forget, folks, that the initial results on the estimated timeline are skewed by early approvals right now. My mid-October filing initially showed that I should expect to be approved before Christmas. Now it's showing an estimated date a few days from now. That makes me feel a bit safer since I know I am still in normal processing times and there's unlikely to be anything wrong at this point.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

Made it through just fine! They asked the purpose of my visit. I said to visit my husband. They asked why he was in the US. I said he recently moved there for a job. They asked when I would be returning (3 days) and that was it - 2 minutes tops. Better to be prepared just in case though. :)

Did they ask you if you were in the process of i130 or immigrating and all. Also I'm assuming your husband must be a USC, so did they ask that, or they just asked why he was in the US.

Yes, he is the USC. And no, they did not ask anything at all about the i130 or immigrating. Just why he was in the US, when I would be returning, andd if I had anything to declare. That's it!

OMGOMGOMG - APPROOOVED!!!!!!!

Just got the following email:

On January 25, 2013, your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was approved. You will be notified of the decision by mail. Please check our website at uscis for further updates on your case, including when the approval notice is mailed. If you do not receive the approval notice within 30 days, please call customer service at 1-800-375-5283 for further assistance.

During this step the formal decision (approved/denied) is written and the decision notice is mailed and/or emailed to the applicant/petitioner. You can use our current processing time to gauge when you can expect to receive a final decision.

Visiting the hubby (USC) for the first time right now - couldn't have been any better timiing!!!! Wishing my fellow December filers similar luck.

FYI - we originally filed from abroad (hubby moved a few weeks later). Another December abroad filer (NVC) was also approved today.
