No, not all standalone I-130s (I-130s filed without a I-485) are actually being transferred to the field offices.

You call, ask to speak to a supervisor who can see your case file, and ask where your case is. There is no guarantee of actually learning where it is though.

That is actually what I did, I called. My case was not listed in the online case status checker until after it was transferred, either, so I did not get a notification of the transfer.

That makes me think, has anyone else whose case has been transferred to a local office received notification? After all it's just a workload shift, not a disposition of the individual case.

very few people have reported receiving a notification of transfer.

This is so frustrating!! I noticed that two Dec filers from abroad have been approved and I'm anxiously waiting to hear back from USCIS in hopes I might get a quick approval too (fingers crossed).

Pink and purple? Kick @$$. I have to bleach my hair to put the pink and purple in because I've been coloring it for 20 years to hide gray, haha.

daphoknee I really think you should get your husband to call, esp since I haven't come across any other December filers from abroad, meaning they might have messed up your address, somehow thinking it was filed from inside the states!? You should call just to check on address, nothing more. I think a CSR can do that, right? Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. But, if a CSR can check on the addresses that they have on file for you and your husband then you won't spend a lot of time on hold when you call. It'll be easier than trying to talk to an ISO.

Thanks Roosa! I wish I could just do it myself, my husband works retail hours so it's hard to coordinate a time for him to call in. Are they open weekends?

They are, but it would be pointless calling about the issue because only the ISO can see what your address is listed as, at least that is what every CSR I talked to said about our address issue. ISOs only work M-F.

UGHHHH!! This is getting more and more frustrating. When I did the permanent resident paperwork for hubby to move to Canada, the paperwork was straightforward, the package contained ALL the necessary paperwork, I didn't have to look for the forms and figure out which ones were the ones I needed and it was sent to ONE location and did not move from one location to another.

I just want this headache to be over with!

just curiouse about 2 things, the ppl that did not file from abroad what is the estimate time for them to get an approval from the nbc?? and secondly, if the petitions are going to get transferred to local office, would that make things go a bit faster???

Check your local office and I-130 Imm Rel. That should give you an estimate. For me, Philadelphia, I get a 10 month rough estimate looking at the pending application and their average monthly approval.

Another NBC, filed from abroad approval!!!!!

I did end up calling to USCIS again, this time with my hubby present and had THE WORST person on the phone. The CSR was incredibly pleasant but the ISO was so wretched and short with me. All I wanted to was confirm the address and ask about the I864 or I864A to confirm which one my FIL would need to fill in. Nothing but attitude from her. After getting off the phone, I checked my email 10 minutes later and got my NOA2 email!
