Timeline

Super typhoo Bopha(international name)/Pablo(Phil. name) is nearing the coast of Mindanao and will make its way through the southern and western Philippines. A less intense storm hit Mindanao last year and killed 1500 people. For those of you that are or have family in that path of the storm our prayers are with you all.

If any of you are flying this week make sure you keep checking with your airline(s) and watch the weather. Manila may be affected later this week and Cebu WILL be affected soon.

Mar is scheduled to fly from Tacloban Wednesday and Manila Thursday. She is connecting in Beijing. The typhoon is not going anywhere close to Beijing. Our big concerns are for the people in the path of the storm and flights leaving Leyte Wednesday. Let's pray all will work out well.

Good luck on your trip to America!!!

My Fiance and her family are in the Cebu area, they have been advised to evacuate to higher ground. I know they are smart enough to follow through but I still worry about them. I wish everyone in the area well and hope all goes well for them too.

I'd be worried too! I'm sure she will be fine but it is still scary. My fiancee lives just to the East of Angeles City, near Mt. Arayat. It doesn't look like she will get anything but a LOT of rain. She said they are concerned about landslides next to the mountain. When I say near Mt. Arayat, she looks up the side of it from her backdoor.

Anyways, here is another great website I found with more info, tracking and satellite data.

We just called and they're in the direct path in Iligan getting battered. The women were evacuated to the high ground and the men are staying to prevent looting. The house next door has been destroyed but the seawall we built is protecting our house.

Good thing we took action to build the sea wall instead of relying on prayer.

Wow, sounds really bad. Our prayers to all. I'm waking my wife up now to call family. They live on a small island, no power south of San Andres. I'm usually up to date on info from family and friends, but didn't hear anything. Thanks for the info.
