Yeah, I was referring to the waiting.

Agreed!

11/22/12 = Filed I-751 to remove conditions

11/30/12 = Got NOA1 (I-797C)

12/23/12 = Got the bio-metrics done (USCIS Status: Pending)

Waiting...

Agreed!

Fo sho!

Almost 2 months went by and I didn't even notice. Because there's really no headache to ROC. You just wait and that's about it.

Wifey is here, working, LEGAL (with an extension letter now) so all in all, the only thing I'm preoccupied with right now as far as USCIS goes is getting the stuff together for N-400. Just building up the evidence in case they ever ask for it again.

In any case, my suggestion to all of December filers - don't check status online, don't stress over it, just wait and that's it whistling.gif

Does anybody knows if anyone that has filed with VCS has received an approval before filing for Naturalization?

i am just curious i guess. This time, unlike when we did AOS, i have not been obsessing over this and checking status online every single day. I guess i am resigned to just waiting. My time to file for naturalization will be by the end of November of this year.

I am just wondering if any approvals from VSC could come before we even file the N400

Yeah, I was referring to the waiting.

Hey, you're filing the N400 in November?? I thought it's 3 years after green card? May got her first green card in March 2011, so we were planning to file March 2014. Do I have that wrong?

Your window opens 90 days prior to your 3 year LPR anniversary (Provided you have met other requirements: Stay and Marriage). I got my conditional on March 15, 2011 so planning to apply later December this year :)

Agree with the others, looking forward to the N-400 more than the adjudication of I-751. Wish they had given the conditional card for 3 years instead of 2.

Hey Jared,

Yeah, you got it wrong, brother.

N-400 filing window opens up exactly 1 year after ROC window opens up. It's 3 year GC anniversary minus 90 days.

10-4. True man! We all are living the 'American Dream' and life's good :)What else I could ask for? What type of evidence you are building for N-400? Same as I-751?

Also: extension letter mean you say the notice (I-797C/NOA1) right? Because my conditional GC is getting expired this Feb 2013. So if we have the NOA1 and GC we are good?

My wife has the exact same GC date.

Yes, the same stuff, it's just this time I want to have everything together and ready the very day N-400 window opens up.

Yes, NOA1 is the extension letter. It extends your GC until Feb 2014.

Hi All,

I filed in December to the California Service Center and had a NOA1 Receipt date of December 20th, 2012. It is now February 1st and we have not received a notice for Biometrics appointment. Should I be concerned that maybe the letter got lost?

ROC TIMELINE

12/16/2012 - Sent package to CSC

12/20/2012 - Received NOA1
