CSC APPLICANTS STOP GETTING EXCITED WHEN YOU GET NOA2s

The annoying thing is that the NOA2 letter says they ahve sent the paperwork to NVC, but thats actuallya lie..the file is sitting at CSC, maybe to pad someone's chair...contacting the senator may not be productive, because they are likely holding many files, but my point is that getting an NOA2 means nothing..its the NVC letter that has weight..as it is, theres no difference with being approved on Oct 13th and November 2nd, because both files go to the SAME PILE thats waiting to go to NVC!

I know what it is, Matako. If your fiance was from a predominantly "white" country, it would be at the NVC right now! What a bunch of #######!:lol:

Sorry, but have to reply to this one... Yes, we know there are many steps to this process! NOA2 is the first of many hurdles to overcome. We're dealing with people's hearts here. You do realize that?

The disgusting thing is that if some of us had more time in the country of our fiance's we could go DCF and eliminate 5 months of processing time. If I could have extended in Korea, I would be with my fiance now and forever. But, since I have to go through the K1 process we're both subjected to months of scrutiny that isn't applied to illegal immigrants.

Please don't downplay matters of the heart! This forum should be about supporting!

We were approved October 13th, and our case has already been through NVC and is on its way to the proper consulate.

There may have been a brief glitch in September, but CSC seems to be coming along slowly, if not to Vermont efficiency, at least to a much higher degree of efficiency than during the March to September period.

I say celebrate the heck out of CSC NOA2's.

First of all, I am incredibly lucky. My NOA2 was recieved on Nov. 2 and my fiance recieved his packet from the embassy on the 8th. If the NVC isn't getting your information, definitely follow up on that!

Good luck.

THEY NEED TO ISSUE THE NOA2 ONLY AFTER THE FILE HAS LEFT THE SERVICE CENTER. The NOA2 as it is now is USELESS AND A LIE. The NOA2 letter states that the file has been sent to NVC,yet the file is stil at the service center.

I disagree with this based on the fact that the NOA2 signals the end of the adjudication of the application by the service center. The process of adjudication can be full of RFE's and random "touches" that keep the petitioner in question about what they need to do next to prove their case. This process can be drug out at the will of the adjudicator. Receipt of the NOA2 signals to the petitioner that all the necessary evidence is in, accepted by the service center and the ball is now on their court.

Now, the the fact that the ball being in their court may not always be a good thing is a different issue. Luck of the draw seems to be the case regarding time of forwarding to the NVC and embassy. This to me doesn't diminish in any way the importance of the NOA2. The entire application process is waiting at some stage, but I think the NOA2 signifies that now you are waiting on them.
