Suggest you go to the IRS in person and make arrangements for a payment plan, then start paying.

RECORDS of payment , on a payment plan when there's an IRS Tax Lien in place, does help at the interview at the IV unit on interview day.

Otherwise, your spouse might be deemed a public charge person, with your inability to arrange your federal government financial committments.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I call IRS today and setup a payment plan and they say there's no tax lien against me....
