Hepatitis B Shot

Under my age category requirements it says for the Hep B shot it's for under 18 yrs of age. I'm 30 so does that mean I don't need to have proof either? It's a silly question but I wouldn't get screening back in time from my Dr and it costs about $100 to do a blood screening at the Immigration Dr's appointment in Montreal... Anyone know?

You should have gotten the hep b shot in grade 6 or 9. You can have your doctor test for it though, I had my Dr do it at my last physical. I think I will go to a walk in and get the full blood tests done for me to take with me to show my antibodies.

Neither did I, but my kids had to have proof of having it. I don't think the shot was around when we were kids.

I am 31 and I recieved it in grade 6. But at another school they tried to give it to me in grade 9 as well. It's been around at least that long.

For your age you need the Tdap, MMR, Varicella (if you have not had chicken pox), and the flu shot if your interview falls between Oct. and Feb. No need for Hep B.
