I sent my DS-2001 the readiness form about 2 weeks ago and I havent herd anything from them. Is this normal? they havent even confirmed that they received it. and they had told me that they would schedule me within two weeks for my interview.

Please let me know if you have any insight as i am reaching the breaking point in this hole process. we have been apart for 4 months now, and the end is so close...

thanks in advance for your help

Salut jmigs,

The Paris embassy is swamped. I called several times and left messages and sent faxes to find out information. We sent our packet 3 with DS-2001 on 9/22/06 and hadn't heard anything for 3 weeks. So I called and I sent a fax. They called my fiance and told him that they didn't have his packet 3. He told them we were part of the IMBRA recalled petitions and she let him fax her the information. We still didn't hear anything from them, so I called again on 10/27 and they told me that they had scheduled his interview for 11/29. (I haven't seen my fiance since May 1 because we were waiting for the IMBRA, so I feel your pain)

Here are a couple of pointers that I have learned when dealing with the Paris embassy:

-They will only talk to the US Citizen. Havinig my fiance call was useless and they hung up the phone on him.

-Faxing them a question and they will call your fiance in France. 01 43 12 47 77

-Call them (you can leave several messages, but they won't call you back, I reached them on a Friday at 1 pm) 01 43 12 22 22 extension 4842 Immigration Visa Unit (don't ask me how I got the extension number :D )

When I asked about moving the interview up, they said they didn't have an available appointment until sometime in December.

I hope this helps you some.
