There are no available appointments at this time

Hello out there.

We just got the last document we need to set the appointment, and yesterday the next available appointment was in 42 days, but now it says there are no available appointments at this time. Does anyone know what we should do? Should we just check each day to see if we can set an appointment, or is calling them effective? How long might this extra wait take? Any ideas?

Hi. Well, I waited for 45 days (1 1/2 months) for my interview. I also wanted to schedule my interview earlier than that but there were no available dates anymore. All were taken. And yep, there are a lot of people scheduling their interviews on a daily basis so once you see the closest slot, schedule yours! There's nothing you can do but wait anyway. Calling them would be the same thing. It's ok. I know you've waited long enough but time will run so fast. Goodluck!

If it doesn't cost much, I think it's a good idea.

Here in Italy every phone call to the consulate for an appointment costs 15 euro. Yikes.

Check your calendar before hand and write down the weekdays you are free and plan the interview accordingly

I wouldn't bother calling the embassy about it, just keep checking every day for available interview slots. It's possible that a lot are trying to get slots before the holidays and that's why it's so busy. When I payed the visa fee the closest interview date they had available was 2 weeks later, but we couldn't schedule for like a month at least. Just have patience, and when you see a date, grab it!

Most consulates assign appointment times in "blocks" which may be 2 weeks or 1 month, for example. In Kiev they usually do it by 1 month at a time, sometimes more when it is very busy, sometimes less when it is very slow. So if they are assigning by month, for example, and November is already filled, then they may "open" December in the middle of the month or whatever the next block will be, could be Februrary, who knows? The call center should be able to tell you the procedure and when they expect the next appointments to be available.

if you are one of the few countries where yer allowed to pick a date on a website,

check that website often.

you'll find a sweet spot of time where appointments previously held are released to be taken,

but you won't know about it unless yer really OCD about the use of a computer with a web browser and internet access, constantly refreshing the page.

Good Luck !

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
