local office processing

I just wanted to see if anyone knew how so many I130s have been processed at local field offices if people only started.getting transferred after August 15? If you look at the.uscis office there have been petitions processed at local offices before.

We were transferred to a local office also and up till now we are still waiting, its been 2 months now and some people are approved before 2 months. maybe ours will be different, who knows.. let us just hope that the NBC or the local office will start approving the petitions .

I hope so im just wondering because Atlanta had about 2000 cases pending before the transfers I just dont understand how when they dont usually process cases there

event though I live in Vermont, but I send the I130 package to Chicago Lock Box, later on the package transfer to MSC but lucky I guest only take 44 days approved our package and got NOA2 on hand. It depends on your case and where it transfer too. There are 2 service centers that very quick MSC and NSC no clogged filter.

It seems to me that the I130s that they had been receiving before probably were in conjunction with I485s for spouses already in the USA who were applying to adjust status.

Ok thanks I didnt even think about that. So I read in a topic that the transferrers who have been approved get the approval letter sent from NBC, do you think that means NBC is processing them and not the local offices like we were informed?

check your transfer letter where ut transfer too... even though u got a letter from ur local office doesnt mean your package at your local office... we got letter from our local office but our package in MSC.

I really don't know. Nothing would surprise me at this point. Obviously USCIS is still trying to figure out this new process since we've seen issues with receipt numbers, and processing times for these offices not yet being on their website. I haven't seen the post about the approval letter. Did the VJ member mention that the postmark on the envelope was from Missouri? or only that the letter had the NBC address in Missouri typed on it?

No they didnt mention the postmark they just said it came from the NBC
