I had a similar problem when it was my turn for my interview as I was waiting some papers my fiance had to send me (and USPS took more than expected), I called the Buenos Aires embassy and they suggested me not to re schedule the interview. Funny thing is that I ended up receiving the papers 1 day prior the interview! So I spent ALL night preparing everything and went to work and at lunch time from work had my visa interview and then back to work!!!

Have your fiance send you everything by Fedex or any private international courier!
