Eliminating Joint Sponsor

Hello everyone,

My husband needs to have a joint sponsor because I didn't make enough in the 7 months I had been living in the States (lived out of the country before that).

My brother-in-law and my sister have offered to be the joint sponsor.

My question is is there anyway in the near future (after, fingers crossed, my husband receives his greencard) that I can take my bro-in-law and sister off as the joint sponsor and only have me as my husband's sponsor. Or will they joint sponsors until he gets citizenship?

I actually do make far above the 125% poverty line for a household of two.

Thank you for your help!

Brandy

after visa interview? No.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

nope, read the rights and responsibilities on the i864, once they sign as joint sponsors they can't change their minds, until your husband is a USC or has worked 40 quarts, etc

Does not sound like you need a joint sponsor.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

If you make above the poverty line why would you need a sponsor. It's not what you make for 7 months. It's what you make annually. Your Hourly X 40 X 52 = annual.

And no once they sign thats it.
