Dumb Question

I am allowed one dumb question per day, so here goes. Yang Bo is divorced. So I included her original divorce decree with the K1 petition package. My question is, will the the U.S. Consulate/Embassy in China return her divorce decree along with the other documents to her once they issue her visa? It suddenly occured to me that we will need this document when we file for our marriage license. I guess she can always get another divorce decree before you comes stateside.

File a photo copy with the petition, the only original forms that you need in the package are I-129F, and G-325A forms, everything else sent should be copies.

Bring the origionals to the consulate for interview if the Visa Officer wants to look at the original.

I do know that when Atif had his interview the CO gave him everything I had sent in with the form.....and it was ALOT...

She can ask, but probably not.

There's a reason why the I-129f instructions tell you to submit photocopies unless an 'original' is specifically requested.
