Preference Status: IR1

interview date: 16th October, 2012

I did my interview at the consulate in Kingston, Jamaica on the 16th October 2012. I got approved and paid the free for courier delivery. However since then i have been checking the courier site but nothing has changed and customer care has no clue as to estimated delivery time.

So my questions: (1) How long will it take for me to receive my passport/visa from the embassy?

(2) How soon can i travel.

Thanks in advance for all responses.

N.B. Hoping to travel for Thanks giving.

Thanks i will call on monday if no change. Was hoping things would just flow after the interview.

Call the U.S. Department of State at (202) 663-1225. Press 1 for visa info and then press 0 to speak with an operator. They will tell you if you need to turn in any additional paperwork, and if the visa has been issued. Also, E-mail the embassy to ask how much longer. This was suggested to me, and it worked.

Phase I - IV - Completed the Immigration Journey
