Does anyone know if upon granting approval for the i-129f application, does USCIS autmatically assign a interview date? or does the application go to the embassy of the given country and they assign an interview date?

fiwa1994 -- you can go to https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard/CaseStatus.do and enter your receipt number there. Most likely your status will still be "initial review" with the November date they received the file. You can also check other numbers near yours (just change your receipt number from xxxx001 to xxxx002, etc), but beware that LOTS of those near you won't be fiance visas, there will be deferred action and many others mixed in with those numbers. It takes a lot of entering numbers to find other K-1 filers near you.

You can also check here on VisaJourney to see which members have been approved or not. An easy way is Igor's List: http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/monthly_filers.php?form=1&visa=1&scenter=2&option=3&sortby=2 (that's for Vermont, if your case number starts with EAC not WAC) where you can see the latest approvals, and scroll down the list to see all of the November filers who are still waiting to hear anything.

You're in good company with a Nov 27 date, so don't worry yet ... if the pace keeps up, you should be hearing something in the next few weeks, we hope!

I'm seeing very similar things around my WAC number. I am also November 7th but strangely, I don't see any ending in 83 near me, so you're not in my "watched" group! I have a list of 38 I-129s from Nov 5-Nov 7 (I probably did miss some, manually checking got really tiring after a while!), and of those 38 -- 24 of them have had RFEs or approvals in the last three days, that's 63% already completed. I'm getting REALLY nervous because that's approaching everyone EXCEPT me (only about 8 more before my number that aren't approved yet).

I am so excited, and yet so frustrated when I see so many approvals. So happy for everyone but gah where is mine please please please!!! biggrin.png

We got an RFE today. Not happy about the RFE but happy we've been touched. It came by email so we're waiting for the hard copy. Good news for those seeing a lot of numbers getting action that are near them. Hope you hear soon. I hope we get this RFE dealt with fast too. Thanks for your post:)

Congrats on your RFE at least, I know it's not the best outcome but it is something!

I think I'm giving up hope for tonight, another round of updates came in after 8 p.m. and mine was not among them. Starting to despair, since literally all 24 around me - 12 on each side earlier and later -- have now been decided. Guess it's going to be a really long depressing anxious weekend. Maybe I'll learn my lesson that "a watched pot never boils"!

Congrats again to everyone getting approved!! Well I was excited..until i sat down for three hours typing every single individual case number below mine and reality finally sunk in. :( I got to 58 cases before mine that haven't even been touched before i took a break. We're approved!!

I almost can't believe it. I saw all of your comments and approvals but assumed that we weren't in there. Went online to check this morning and apparently we were approved yesterday! Called my fiance and I think we are almost in a state of disbelief! But of course so very excited!

Congratulations to all the approvals so far, and everyone else, you remain in our prayers! God bless you!

Huge Congratulations to all those approved! It seemed like a really big batch of November filers, but maybe that's just because I was watching so closely! Glad to know CSC is still doing their job.

Unfortunately, mine wasn't among them despite everyone near me being decided already. Finding it hard to face the weekend, my mind's going crazy trying to figure out why mine was skipped. :(
