I've been checking the timeline and the uscis website since CSC started approving late November filers. >w<

K1 Visa Timeline

  • xx-xx-2005 - Met in an online creative writing forum for anime (Yes, we are nerds. Awesome ones, at that.) Became friends ever since and chatted mostly on YM. Our characters' names were Kumi and Drake.
  • 11-20-2011 - We became a couple.
  • 05-16-2012 to 05-25-2012 - First visit
  • 11-08-2012 - NOA1
  • 12-11-2012 to 12-18-2012 - Second visit
  • 05-08-2013 - NOA2
  • 06-13-2013 to 06-14-2013 - Two-day medical exam; passed!
  • 07-19-2013 - He visits again to be with me for the interview

Hey everybody!

November filer here, we have our wedding planned for August 31st! CSC keeps pushing their processing time further and further back it seems... My fiancé and I were thinking, in a worst case scenario that we don't receive her visa in time for the August 31st wedding date, can she just come across the border (she is from Canada) and we can still do the wedding as planned, we just won't formally and legally be married yet. Then, once we are approved, can we just go across and get married in the courthouse to make it official?

We have tried to expedite the process due to financial hardship since we have nearly $7k in non-refundable deposits and expenses already paid but were denied... Does anybody see a problem with this from a legal perspective? It won't be the same, but it's our best option for our situation.

8'm not sure if I could help but if the the US folks working on our papers saw there was some kind of wedding, even if it's not official, they might think that it is and could either slow down your process or get denied. But if anyone knows more about it, do correct me if I'm wrong.

With my being not so obsessive with the Igor's list, I noticed two early November approvals. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for our approval.

I've been watching and I'm hoping for good news soon for Kumi and Drake, DB_LS and everyone else here. Our wedding is scheduled for mid-July so we are really hoping for an approval soon. Today was the first time I've noticed approvals so close to our NOA1 date and it is great to see that it could all work out.

We mailed ours on Nov. 6th and got our NOA1, digitally, Nov. 13. It's gonna be awhile now, though. We got VSC.

I have yet to make a timeline but I assume we'll get our NOA2 in May 2013. It feels like it's gonna be such a long time.

I have a question though. My case hasn't made it's way to the case status site. How long does that normally take, or does it even work at all?

I'm in the same boat. Received NOA1 on Nov. 15th. Also VSC. And our case also isn't working on the case status site. Good to know there's other people in our shoes :)

I think we are all getting restless right about now. I've also been checking Igor's list for VSC and seeing the october cases getting approved.

We don't have much planed for our wedding yet but do have a date - September 20th. That's 2 days after her birthday and 2 days before mine :) Lucky for us it's just 30-45 people attending.

Aug 2, 2011 - Met online via a mutual friend.
Dec 2, 2011 - Vivian traveled to USA to attend a medical conference and had our first date. On Dec 10, 2011 - Vivian returned home.
May 15,2012 - Vivian traveled to USA to spend a month with me. smile.png
Sep 15,2012 - Met Vivian in Frankfurt Germany and on to Prague Czech Republic to celebrate our birthdays.
Sep 24, 2012 - Left Viena Austria. The last time I was with Vivian.
Nov 11, 2012 - Mailed in I-129F
Nov 19, 2012 - NOA1 recieved

June 13, 2013 - NOA2 approved.

June 17, 2013 - NOA2 hard copy received.

June 25, 2013 - Consulate received
July 7, 2013 - Packet 3 received

July 13, 2013 - Packet 3 sent

July 28, 2013 - Packet 4 received

Aug 22, 2013 - Interview scheduled and APPROVED!!! kicking.gif

got my NOA2 25th of april !!! IM SO HAPPY !!!!!!!!

this journey has been aswone and verry stressy

but now it payed off !!

now i have to make myself ready for the interview !!!
