Timeline

They are having their interview in the states.

I suppose it would have to have some pretty special circumstances to do so.

Beats the heck out of flying across the country but I wouldn't begin to speculate any prevailing circumstances which brought it about. The simple fact is it doesn't follow standard protocol which is what the lawyer had eluded to.


  • 04/14/12 - Married
    05/10/12 - Filed I-130 Petition
    05/17/12 - NOA1 Received
    05/22/12 - I797C Received
    08/02/12 - NOA2 Received
    08/30/12 - DS3032(DS261) & I864 bill received, sent, & paid
    09/01/12 - Receive I-864 Package
    09/08/12 - Submit I-864 Package
    09/14/12 - Receive & pay IV Invoice
    09/18/12 - IV Payment Complete & DS-260 Unlocked
    09/20/12 - Submit DS-260
    10/04/12 - Submit DS-260 Supporting Documents
    10/10/12 - Medical
    10/15/12 - Resubmitted I-864 Package
    10/18/12 - Case Complete
    11/01/12 - Case expedited to Montreal
    11/14/02 - Interview
    11/14/02 - APPROVED

That's true since you're out of vancouver.

Like I said, after hearing that, can't really complain about my 7 hour drive to montreal.

Which still makes me gag :(

Lol it's longer than 7 hours drive to visit my mom! I have no doubts that the hubs and I will be flying when I finally meet his family too because they're all over the USA. Lol. Heck I spent 8 hours travelling home yesterday after visiting with my hubs for a week. He saved $200 and I spent an extra 6 hours plus flying around the USA. I think it's retribution for the time I did it to him. Lol!!!

But flying to spend a week or so in Montreal was NOT on my bucket list before we started this journey.
