Here is my detail:

NOA 1 of priority date 11-19-12 at MSC

No notification. So I called and talk to officer on July 17. When I asked "where exactly my file located". I got reply "it has been transfered to Atlanta in January". As of yet, I am still waiting. I did submit inquiry on this file on July 17. Due date for inquiry is August 1 but he said to give it few weeks after tht. I do have info pass set up for August 6. Does any one have any prediction when I should be expecting to receive approval?

My situation sounds almost identical. I also was transferred in January. January 4th to be exact. I got no notification about the transfer. I didn't even know that it was transferred until mid April when I spoke to a tier 2. I put in a request for a service request at the end of may and still have heard nothing. I had a info pass July 17 and walked out with a approval. I think it was sheer luck though. I think part of it might be whom I ended up with. I got the nice man at window number 9. They will give you the whole speach about having over 5000 cases. Find out if your file is shelved or boxed. Pray that it's shelved. Asked them kindly if they can go retrieve it just to keep it moving. If it stays in the box it will stay there for a while longer. As far as a guess on when you get approved I don't know. I gave a brief description of my info pass in a post a page or 2 back. Good luck and feel free to ask me any questions

So I had my Infopass appointment today, and that was pretty much a waste of time unfortunately.

All they said is "the paperwork has been transferred to the atlanta office, but we don't know when we will beable to process it." And all she said multiple other times is we have over 5000 cases on file this year so far and we are behind.

I told her our paperwork was submitted in November of 2012, and we haven't heard a single word about our paperwork, we were never notified our paperwork was even moved to the atlanta office or anything. She could not even provide me a estimated date on when it will even be processed either. She said if we need to "expedite" our case, we can "request" it by mailing the office, and if it is approved they will work on it.

All I want is current and upto date information on my case, why is it so difficult....

So i told her, i will see her in a few more weeks, because I will be making another appointment until I get a answer that is actually acceptable.

Have you submitted e-request? I've done that on july 17 and August 1 was the due date (Tier 2 officer told me that due date is August 1) but wait until mid august to hear something about the inquiry. Does anyone knows if e-request helps in any ways?? I've also contacted Senator Chambliss. I got an email back from his office with Privacy act release to fill out. Which I already did and Fax it to him. Now How do I follow up on if he even did something?? Does this help??

I did write to Senators. Only one of the Senator replied back with Privacy Release act form (Senator Chambliss). So filled out the form and faxed it back to him two days ago. I've called and email several time to Senator Isakson office but No return call or response so I gave up on him. No response from even congressman.

My question is how do i follow up with Senator Chambliss? They all have a website where we can email them (only from their site). If i try to send a direct email I get automatic reply back saying i need to use that site.

What do I need to take with me with INFO PASS?

Do you have any suggestion of questions that I should ask them so that I can ball point where the file is just in case if they really dont give me lots of information??

I am in contact with Senator Chambliss as well, but that lady that I got at the infopass place was a complete disappointment, window #3.

If you are talking about the e-request thing on the uscis website, i do believe i submitted that a couple months ago and never heard anything back about it.

Write letters to them. Physical letters...and let them do their thing. Write ALL of them not just one. I dont know much about other states but in Alabama, Senator Shelby, Senator Sessions, and Congressman Bachus responded quickly and I believe helped me out. Make sure you include the privacy act form ALWAYS. They cant do anything if you don't included it.

Yes, life at NVC really suck. I got two gruesome checklists for AOS and IV package. Finally got a case complete a few days ago. Now waiting for the interview date, hoping for a date in September. Its nice to hear from you.

All,

I had info pass set up for this morning. So I did go to Atlanta Field Office. What I found out about my file is that file has been setting untouched since January. That is indeed abnormal. officer said he himself was working on November files couple weekends ago, but for some reason he also had some January fillers (he said they got lucky). As far as my file goes, it was over looked. It has not been assigned to any agent yet. However, guy was nice enough to put in an inquiry and gave me a Referral # (which started and ended with ATL***********ATL). He also said "Hopefully this will get someone to go look for this file and hopefully if everything is fine with the file then you will receive a nice letter in the mail". He said he would not know exactly when they will process my file. But he did what he could. I already had one inquiry going with (E-request) USCIS online. yesterday I called USCIS and talk to officer who said I should be hearing something about that inquiry this week. she said it scheduled to be answered on August 7th. Today I had the officer at Atlanta Field office putting in an inquiry as well. Good thing about today inquiry was that he wrote down one paragraphed worth of things about my file being skipped. He read it to me and he went something like this:

"customer filed I-130 for spouse in November 2012. File was transferred to Atlanta. Its has been in Atlanta for past 7 months and it has not been touched. customer need detail file update and status check. he would like to know if file is being processed or approved?"

Does anyone know if all these action will help at all? Do you guyz think Atlanta will look into this file within 30 days?

Good afternoon to you all, its been a very long time though since i have come here , I've been really busy with work, i hope Atlanta is approving faster now? really i want you all to know that its been so tough at this NVC stage because up till now, we haven't receive our case number and invoice identification number, when we first called they said we should wait minimum of 8 weeks , today i called and they said the same thing after they have checked and said its not on their system, i told them is now 10 weeks and the officer said i should keep calling every day and maybe i will have the case number before the week runs out. its really tiring .... i just feel down

I think Atlanta is the same, if not worse than before. I am very sorry to hear that and yes, i believe NVC is very difficult. My question for you: Did NVC confirmed that they have your file and you are just waiting for a case number? I guess the answer is no, which mean that your file is still in the Atlanta office. If this is the case, i would make an info pass appointment and go to the stupid Atlata office to check. They did that to Abezyo, i was lucky that mine got to NVC within a few days. You can look at my signature below to see the timing of how things are going for me at NVC, and you can use it as a guideline. I would however advise not to make the same mistakes that i did and receive multiple checklists.
