I am not sure, in what order the cases are being done, when I scheduled an infopass I was told that they cases are being done in the order they were received.

Have you written to your senators/ scheduled infopass appointments? I think that has helped my case, so if you have not done so yet I would highly recommend that you do.

I am not sure, in what order the cases are being done, when I scheduled an infopass I was told that they cases are being done in the order they were received.

Have you written to your senators/ scheduled infopass appointments? I think that has helped my case, so if you have not done so yet I would highly recommend that you do.

so i just got a letter in the mail saying my file was trasfered june 5 to north carolina due to backlog in atlanta, so basically that means im screwed

I am sorry to hear that. These are trying times for u I can imagine but I will continue to push. I will see this as an opportunity to deal with a different office (NC). As I said several times, I will call my senators office (both of them), and report this tomorrow and tell them 9 months is not acceptable. I will not wait to hear back from them but will keep calling them every day for updates. Hopefully u can hear something before the end of the month. Atlanta is really stupid for now transfering the file after keeping it for 9 months. I hope something positive come out of this transfer ASAP.

Hi cwwils!

I had been thinking that my file was one of the first to go in a big box and so was placed at the bottom. When they opened the box in Atlanta, they pulled from the top! Who knows!

What we do know is Atlanta definitely is not going in order, and we know that pressure from senators/congressmen gets them to pull your file faster.

have you started all your past processing time contacts? elected officials, omnibudsman, etc??

I am sorry you are so far away from that five month goal :(

the good news is that n. Carolina looks much better than Atlanta... and Atlanta is one of those centers that takes forever to get it out to the nvc.

Well...IV bill was generated and taken out of my bank account as of yesterday! Final steps final steps final steps!!!!! Im being hopeful for an August interview for the wifey and we can leave together!

08/21/2012: NOA1

8/21/2012 : NOA1 Hardcopy

8/28/2012 : 1-797C Action Transferred to NBC (Assuming sent to Atlanta Local office...but no telling)

O9/4/2012 : Last touched.

2/26/2013 : Infopass with Atlanta (confirmed file is there and no action yet. To be started in March)

03/18/2013 : 2nd Infopass (No review or processing of any stand-alone I-130s for 60-90 days. URGHHHHHHHHHH)

04/6/2013: NOA2 (228 days from NOA1)

NVC

05/10/13 USCIS Atlanta letter to me confirms this date as sent to NVC

05/20/13 NVC Received Case (Waiting on case number)
06/7/2013 NVC case number assinged
