About the USCIS meeting: i arrived at the office of USCIS five minutes late due to traffic. Once I made one of the female workers there aware that I had an appointment that i was late for due to traffic. She said it should not be a problem they had many late arrivals due to the time change. I was asked to wait and she would see if someone was available to assist me. She came back and asked for my appointment paper and 10 minutes later another African American woman came escorted me to a desk where she pulled up my petition using the petition number asked what was the reason for my visit. I alerted her of the date we filed and also that we have yet to hear anything regarding it's status. I asked if there was any hold up or a need for more information. She stated sternly that petitions have been on hold and are now being processed. She stated that we should wait to hear back, that our status will be updated online. She says that I can call in a couple weeks and speak with tier two again. She said that patience is paramount and that there are many who are waiting. I asked again if all of the petitioners will be interviewed and she said No, i said is she very sure , she said Yes. that some will be interviewed and some will be approve instantly depending on the person who deals with the petitions whether the file contains all what they want or but if the file did not include everything, they will have RFE and many times asked to come for interview. I also asked how many people have they invited for interviews and also approve straight forward and she was reluctant to answer but later she said we have approved many and also asked some for interviews , I now asked when should we be expecting from them, she said very soon and that i should have patience and that they are treating the case as they receive it . But the good news is that she categorically told me that they have started processing it and in a couple of weeks many will receive approvals or interview letter.

Overall it was good and its something positive and I will go back again by ending of this month or first week of April .

Well this is good news...hopefully something can be done soon! My friend has been calling the customer call center and speaking with a tier 2 and they said Atlanta has started processing August and September filers and looking at them. So maybe this is good news. I just put in a service request a few mins ago and I hope I did it right haha. I choose an option until I finally got thru lol. I have an infopass appointment Monday and I will be going up there to see if anything new has happened. Ill keep you all updated on what happens

@Abezyo, Oh its a good news since tier 2 already said that they are processing August and September. I can't really wait. After reading that you have put in service request, I tried to do it right now also but it says to me that am still within the time range . lol !!! though in 2 days time i will be 6 months old on this petition. I can't really wait. I can't wait till Monday when I will hear from you. So keep us updated when you get back .

@Abezyo

I think that is the case cos I've sent Treva three different messages with no reply, so I thought maybe she hasn't check her Visa journey maybe she is busy or she is tired of reading the same thing you have said . I am also not happy with how things are going, but coming here makes me get relaxed and to cool off the tension. Before when i see people getting approved, i always get sad but now it has become part of my life and now i'm excited for them and also excited that mine is coming closer. I know that very soon God will do everything and we all will be very happy..

Wow, we're up to 20 pages on this post, lol! Yes' I've been away for a while. My life was getting really stressful and Simon's visa journey was partly to blame, so I took a step back from it. In the beginning of the wait, it felt good for me to come on here, but whoa eventually it was so distressing, not realxing at all, Mrs. O, lol! So I haven't read any posts for several weeks... I will catch up later. I just came on here to let you guys know that, as I'm beginning my eighth month of waiting, I still haven't heard a peep from USCIS about our petition. No NOA2, no RFE, no reply to any letters, no reply to the inquiry form at the ATL office, nothing.

Hello Treva. Welcome back.

Well my infopass was completely useless and just absolutely ridiculous. Im so angry and probably will be for a long time. Got there at 2pm for the appointment. Checked in and everything. Got called up. It was a white male who looked as if we had ruined his day or given him a bad day by coming there. Asked him about my file. Said it was there. Asked if he had been issued a number to be adjucated and said "adjucated?" as if I was speaking another language. I explained to him and he said no. He continued to say that none of the files had been reviewed at all. I asked him the processing time for Atlanta and how many files have been looked at and he gave me an attitude saying "I cant give you that information." I was like woah what? Its not like im asking specific details. He said he would be back and walked to the back. He came bsck and said he spoke with his supervisor and his supervisor said they are going to start processing stand-alone I-130s in 69-90 days. I was livid. I really wanted to get angry but I decided to just walk away and forget about it. It wasnt worth causing a scene.

The guy was a complete jerk. He was a short white dude at counter 3. If you get him dont waste your time. I dont think hes the real deal. Hes made me so mad. Ive given up on infopass appointments till May. Good luck to whoever goes its just going to be bad news lol.

Perhaps it's because the word is adjudicated.

Adjucated is not a word, despite the fact that that's how I read it every time I see it.

I spoke to tier 2 last night, after holding for 2 hrs and they confirmed that my file has NOT been assigned an A-number nor assigned to an officer yet. They however stated that the file's physical location was moved on 3/1/2013, the same day Atlanta offie promised to begin processing the cases. They couldnt tell me why it was moved, and where it was moved to. I am beginning to think that they are currently performing initial processing for our files this month, and will assign them to officers next month for speedy approvals. This was what one of the members stated here a few weeks ago as the feedback she received from the infopass appointment.

I did remember reading that a few weeks ago so...hopefully they are doing something. Maybe the guy meant once the files are moving and getting a go it takes 60-90 days for approval after background checks and etc. ERRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!

@abezyo: Member "cwwils2" stated this in his comments at the top of page 18. He even stated that he was told the first batch of cases will be approved within 90 days from 3/1/2013. I hope this is what might be happening. You can go back to page 18 and read the comment from "cwwils2" I will make an infopass appt early next month to check myself.

Seems like every field office carry the same answer for i130. "Will process within 60-90 days". Kinda feel that its a ready script they all have.

At his first InfoPass appointment in Charleston late Dec, hubby was told to try back mid Jan if he hadn’t been approved yet, the adjudicator for our file wasn’t in.

In mid Jan when we went in together the guy personally went to view our files to see if they looked good because the adjudicator wasn’t in (again).

Our files were sent to NBC shortly after that for the approval notice to get sent out.

90 days was not an answer we got at either InfoPass appointment.

Atlanta is special and NOT in a good way.
