Hello again! You guys were so much help before and i got everything ready to go but came to a snag so i'm all ready to file and get this going i just have a few last minute questions about what i need to do :)

First off- When we send the "proof" of relationship ie. my phone records, can i black out all the numbers that aren't his? My parents, friends, and colleagues really don't need to have their numbers mailed out in my opinion.

Secondly- do we send photocopies of the pictures first and bring originals, or should i go to walmart and make copies of all my photos? They were taken on a phone and printed off the computer though i'm sure many people do this, i'm just curious about the correct procedure.

third- I've read through the step by step guide a thousand times and steps 12-14 do not apply to our situation, should i state somewhere, maybe in the cover letter, that neither of us have been married/ divorced/ convicted of any crimes? or will they figure that out through the other forms (biographic information and such?)

I think that is everything, thank you guys in advance, you're all amazing, can't wait to get this all under way!! Take care!

I wouldn't recommend it. It would raise suspicion more than serving to protect anything.

Secondly- do we send photocopies of the pictures first and bring originals, or should i go to walmart and make copies of all my photos? They were taken on a phone and printed off the computer though i'm sure many people do this, i'm just curious about the correct procedure.

You can either make copies of the photos at a Walgreens, etc., or you can put them into into a Word doc or PowerPoint presentation with the date and location information. If you go the route of making prints, just be sure to secure them in a baggy so they aren't lost.

third- I've read through the step by step guide a thousand times and steps 12-14 do not apply to our situation, should i state somewhere, maybe in the cover letter, that neither of us have been married/ divorced/ convicted of any crimes? or will they figure that out through the other forms (biographic information and such?)

If you've never been married, then the letter of intent will be all you need to confirm that you are free to marry.

At the initial filing of a K1 the requirement is that you have met in person within 2 years of filing. Phone records do not show you have met in person, but will be needed at the interview stage. I highlighted my fiancee's number on the bills. They are not concerned with other numbers on it. The photos of the two of you together are important. I went to Walgreen's and made copies, 10 photos total. You can as LeftCoastLady said print them on a word document, but make sure you note on the back or on the word document, when and where the photo was taken along with who is in the photo (if family etc.) I would caution about a power point unless you print it, media is not accepted (CD's, DVD'd or USB's. In your petition it asks if you have been married and this is sufficant with the letter of intent. USCIS and the NVC will do background checks for the USC and a police certificate will be needed at the interview by your fiancee. Good luck!!!

To clarify, yes, if you opt to paste digital photos into Word, PowerPoint, etc., then yes, you will have to print it out and include with the petition package.

I had sent my phone records and blacked out all that didn't apply. I had also sent our skype records and MSN records and blacked out what we had copied and pasted for eachother to view.

For pictures we went and got additional copies of the photo from our phones or SD card. Don't for get to write on the back the date, who was in the photo, and where the photo was taken.

No need to specify as to if you've been married/divorced/or convicted. The G-325 (i think that is the form) that you both fill out will ask you the questions and if you answered yes to any of them thats when you would need to provide the information needed.

BTW good luck !!!!
