It almost looks like it might be sucking it's thumb in the second shot! We have one of my oldest son sucking his thumb in the womb that is so cute, but of course it was much later in the pregnancy.

I'm sure you'll see the sex soon enough, they don't stay still much when they get bigger usually.

My friend has a picture of her son doing something else in the womb

Best wishes for a healthy baby. (F)

Are you going to get a different kind at this next appointment LB? My friend just had one and it almost looks like a photo of her baby! :o Technology is a trip these days!

No :( It's called the 3d/4D Ultrasound and it was way too expensive. They wanted $240 for it. Since cash is not growing on the trees for Ali and I we'd rather not feel guilty and get our regular free ultrasound that our insurance pays for. I figure once the baby gets here we will take a million pics anyway.

You can't always have everything you wish for. The $240 will be going towards baby items like the crib and such.

Reunited and it feels so good ....

NOA #1 - March 23rd, 2004

WOW! My friend's on medicaid... I can't believe they paid for it!! :o

I totally understand though, if you're paying for it please put it towards something better like the items you mentioned... having a baby is NOT cheap. You'll really be surprised how much everything runs and the companies only charge those ridiculous prices because they know you HAVE to buy the stuff.

If you breastfeed you'll save a LOT of money in the long run and you can try to use reusable diapers too.... I was gonna be all cost/environment conscience (sp??) with my first born and use those though and it didn't last a DAY!

Back in the dark ages (early 80s) I breastfed both of my sons (oldest until he was 2, youngest 14 months) and used cloth diapers. Breast feeding is so much easier if you're a stay home mom because there are no bottles to prepare, but I don't know if I could do it if I had to work. I want to if Abdel and I have a baby, but he's already made it clear that he wants to be able to feed the baby too, so I'd have to deal with pumping for him to do that, or use formula. My mom lives about 10 minutes from where I work so if she was babysitting I could go home at lunch and feed the baby. I'd definitely use cloth diapers again. They aren't so bad if you have your own washer and dryer. It was harder when my oldest was young because we had to go to the laundromat and we didn't have a car. I sure did have a nice figure then though - walking everywhere and having to carry laundry and groceries and a baby around.

LB, If money is tight (and when isn't it for most of us when we're pregnant!?) look for baby stuff at consignment stores and places like Goodwill or Salvation Army. If you're handy at all an old crib and other furniture can be refinished pretty easy (oops, forgot about the fumes if you're pregnant!) or even just painted with non-toxic paint and a new mattress bought. A lot of people get rid of stuff that is practically new and it's way cheaper those places. I work with people who clean out their kids closets regularly and take almost new (sometimes new) clothes to Goodwill or Salvation Army all the time because they don't know anybody to give it to.

I know it's a rule of thumb around here not to start your own countdown thread ... but I'm not ! This thread is for my baby

On Wednesday, November 1st at 7 a.m. we find out if we are having a boy or girl : )

So I need som VJ mojo hoping that the baby will not be shy and have his/her legs closed ... come baby open those legs wide

Massouna wants a girl - I have no sisters and would looooooooooove to dress up a baby girl :star:

Ali wants a boy - he misses his brothers terribly and wants a little guy to play with

So the big question is not weather or not we are getting the visa this time, it's :

Are we having a :

or a

baby-girl.jpg

Did you mom get a needle and thread yet?
