Thank you once again members for the good advice you give us.

I have a problem with scheduling an appointment with the embassy of Nairobi. I have done everything as they instructed me to do including the medical examination. But when I logged in on the site it tells me no available appointment date and ever since they approved our petition (K1 Petition) and sent to the embassy its approximately 1 month left before it expires so I am worried on what to do. I managed to call through and talked to an Officer at the embassy but still told me that its not available at the moment that i keep on checking.

Is there anybody who went through such a scenario

Kindly Advise

I will be grateful.

Keep checking that website, call them back if possible and also try emailing the Customer Representative /Immigrant Visa Unit

Consular Section US Embassy Nairobi and request for an Expedited Visa Interview... In your email explain to them that your

petition is about to expire.

Keep in mind there are some people that don't show up for interviews as well as those that cancel or reschedule their appointments

and the website is not updated on a daily basis.

Good luck to you and keep us posted

Thank you so much for that Advice. I was able to speak to one of the people in Immigrant visa section and he told me that I keep on checking that there is no Available appointment dates at the moment.

But today in the morning I received an email that if possible I select another Consulate which looked not clear to me!

Can the file be transferred from one embassy to another simply because there is any appointment date/ If possible which would be the best alternative I am a Ugandan and Kampala embassy doesn't issue Fiance Visa May be Dare salam Tanzania.

Please Advise me on what to do.

The Idea of selecting another consulate is a tricky one !! Considering some simple facts like; The time taken to transfer you case to another consulate, the consulate in TZ may not have any open appointment dates and meeting the specific requirements of that consulate which might be different ie paying another visa fee etc...

I would suggest you keep calling the Nairobi consulate probably once every two days. Don't overwhelm them with emails (they actually don't like that  ) hopefully you'll be availed a slot to go in and have your interview.

Good luck to you and I hope it all works out fine
