The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

Totally ridiculous... and what they do that they seem losing files. I got approved on Jan 23rd and NVC still has not even received my file and now they start talking about need to locate my file!!!!!!!

Most useless bureaucratic administration I ever seen.

I have been sad the past couple of days. This morning woke up sad and my husband was encouraging me. So I went grocery shopping. As I got in my car after grocery shopping, I checked my phone to see if my husband im me. Lo and behold, a text from USCIS. Your status was updated. I quickly went and checked: YOUR CASE WAS APPROVED. I wanted to jump for joy I couldn't since I was sitting in the car. All I could say OMG OMG OMG. Thank you Jesus. I called my husband laughing and told him. But he couldn't understand me. So I explained. God is good. Moving on to NVC. Be encouraged everyone your turn will come.

Congratulations! I didn't know this forum existed for awhile so I thought I was all alone in my journey. When I stumbled upon this, it was a God sent. I was surprised to see how nice and helpful everyone is. Some of the things posted here make me laugh, frustrated, furious but most of all i found a bunch of compassionate people. Hang in there peeps and thanks for all the help.

If the field office sent it back to the NBC, that means they made a decision and sent it to the NBC for processing. After mine went back to the NBC, I got the notice of approval in a week or so. it's good news. :)

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

No i didnt asked him about the date but ill check back tomorrow with them about it. Since i've applied my case has not been visible online

This is all i see , i think ive mentioned here earlier that one of my friend's wife case approved but there was no update available online. Thanks for remembering , hopefully I should be hearing from them soon.

I filed oct 1 still haven't heard anything except a mail tellin me my case is being transferred to Newark service center NJ

Well, you got a notification. I didn't even get the notification!

You can schedule an InfoPass to find out what's up. Calling the USCIS will not get you anywhere as they can't see what the local offices are doing with files.
