update - Called into USCIS/NCSC, finally got to an ISO. Lots of shilly-shallying about, but in the end, a service referral/request thing was made by an ISO , requesting that someone review the casefile, find the expedite request included in it, and make a determination to expedite or no.

I'm to hear back by the 10th of November, either way.

This is some experiment, I think so, as someone, somewhere, has to actually find my casefile. Where it is at the time the SR is looked at, is anyone's guess.

The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

You're welcome. That's strange, I wonder why the person who receives the initial application doesn't notice an expedite request and just put it through for approval. I just wish the process was more streamlined and you could send everything in one shot and less back and forth.

well, I knew how it worked prior to 15 August.

The lockbox sent all on to CSC or VSC, then the intake clerks at CSC/VSC would see the expedite request, and send it on for evaluation.

This routing to MSC is really bugging me..

Yeah, all the guides I read are now outdated. I'm hoping the routing to MSC and then local office is faster than the traditional method, but somehow I get the feeling it's going to take longer, especially if this is a new process. sad.gif

I do know that the casefile is scanned, at some point with USCIS, prior to approval.

WHEN, though, I dunno. my casefile was thick, so good luck to them there scanner fellas.

Finally got our NOA1! Sent in the first packet on 9/26 but got it back as my printer did not print the check mark boxes. Oy!! Sent it in again triple checked that everything was in the right place and got my NOA1 email on 10/24 (at 2am PST no less!).

I guess a Jan/Feb approval is likely at CSC.

How do you deal with this anticipation and waiting? So nerve racking!

Working on putting together the IV and AoS packets will help.

But man.. NOA2, please come sooner than later :wacko:

After reading some other posts, I realize our case number starts with MSC too! I figured by being in Washington and filing at the Phoenix lockbox, we would go to the CSC. The earlier link was invalid that explains why theyre transferring cases. Anyone have the updated link?

Oh alright, for some reason I actually thought the whole physical packet was sent around. Besides, I would expect they would have high-speed scanners that can handle large piles of paper, I had them at my old job, they can do like 15 or 20 pages per minute, and the feeder can handle a lot. So a transfer really shouldn't delay things by much, but being in NYC I would expect the local office here must be swamped compared to other offices.

Well that is a huge bummer! I did see the August filer who got a NOA2 in 54 days after going to the NBC! I guess just keep looking for the online status to appear. Twiddling thumbs!
