The DCF petitions are treated very differently. From all indications those of us residing in non-DCF countries are remaining at NBC to be processed.

Cat, it is up to the immigration officials at the port of entry (Dublin/other preclearance facility, or your US landing point) to decide that and no information I can give you is 100 percent. My husband took his NOA1, a letter from me asking Immigration to please let him visit and saying we didn't want to do ANYTHING to harm the pending visa process, and my latest pay stub to show that I could support him while he was in the US. The immigration official grumbled and said "I'm not supposed to do this", but my husband stayed calm and insisted that it was just a visit and that he had to be back anyway for the interview and medical in London, and in the end he was not even sent to secondary processing. He actually did not have any significant ties to the UK to show, and people frequently quit jobs, give away possessions, and leave family anyway in order to illegally immigrate to the US. The most conclusive proof I can think of for you to show is a home mortgage and a letter of leave from your employer saying you are expected back by a certain date. You may or may not even be asked for it.

I notice you also hang out at the BritishExpats site and we've posted together there. I know some of the people there have addressed this same issue... in fact I think I asked about it there once myself. Do a good search there and look at the sticky post "WAIT! Can I visit while I am waiting for my K or Immigrant Visa?????" that is at the top of the Marriage-Based Visas section.

For those watching who are not applying for a UK citizen, the above may not (probably doesn't) apply to you.

Nice! I guess it just depends on who you get! I went over in October and had received my NOA1 (just) at that time and they never asked me anything so I guess it's luck of the draw there! Haha yes I do - I haven't been on that one as often as here though! I feel like I've found more useful info on here but still like to check both from time to time! I'll make sure to check that post out :D

Form data, not the form. Please review the wiki page about it, aye?

The form data goes in the body of the email.

Is best to send it out when the AOS fee bill shows up in the petitioner's email inbox -

as it's only at that point that NVC is 'listening' at their email system.

Yup, the DS-230 is also a beneficiary document - it's the actual Visa Application.

What do you mean "keep" part two of DS-230? Don't keep it, you need to send it, unsigned, with the IV package. I would suggest sending it yourself directly to NVC once you've paid the fee since you'll have to include a lot of other documents with the DS-230. Have you looked at the steps for processing at NVC?

I have faith that it will be approved soon , i have been postponing my trip to go see him cux in NY we are getting smaller paychecks due to te taxes sooooo you already know its getting harder in ny to do anything financially

Yeah, between the 2% federal, and the increase in local taxes, it hurt quite a bit...

FYI, October filers. I got my hard copy notice and the address is the NBC's! I was told I was transferred to my local office, but now I'm not so sure!

Maybe I was approved at the NBC? Maybe all correspondence just has NBC address? I dont know. I just thought it might be useful information for you all.

I filed on 10/02/2012 and got the NOA1 on 10/05/2013

immigration is a complicated process, I hope they don't differentiate countries based on their politics with US. Everyone hang in there, it'll be over before you know it....just trying to inject some positive light in this forum :P

Agreed, I would hope USCIS/Dept of State are indifferent to country aside for actual reasons of fraud/etc.
